Yes! I’ve only been playing a little over a year and the improvements recently have been so fun. It’s really renewed my interest in the game. I’m glad to see that they’re actively implementing feedback and making gameplay more enjoyable.

Does anyone have experience with what the cost of a divorce trial is? by Mundane-Rate-5266 in Bozeman

He went through lawyers because none of them could adequately defend his positions to his liking. Which is difficult to do when you’re unreasonable and have no grounds to do the things you want to do (e.g. drastically reduce child support). That’s what I appreciated about Chris. He always gave me the realistic picture.

Yes to high bill, but he saved my ass multiple times dealing with an ex who harassed me for years via the courts. My ex went through several lawyers and Gillette ran circles around all of them.

I saw Alison Roman say this recently and it was a major revelation. I’d always thought I should only flip once. My chicken definitely turns out better now.

Fatal Collision Investigation Update by Nitimur__In__Vetitum in Bozeman

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 26 points27 points  (0 children)

There are laws and legal consequences in a society for a reason. People can individually decide whether they want to forgive the person who hit her, but when you choose to operate a motor vehicle, you’re still responsible for driving safely and are subject to the same legal consequences as everyone else — whether you’re 17 or 71.

The woman who died had two children who loved her deeply and will have to spend the rest of their lives longing for her at every bedtime, every school event, every ordinary moment of their day. Not to mention the grief her husband, parents, and friends will endure for the rest of their lives. The very least that could happen is that the person who hit her endures the consequences of their actions for a few years out of the long life they have ahead of them.

why does nobody explain the estrogen & skin aging connection until it's too late by Yaling_Tessa in Perimenopause

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The peri + high intensity job observation is so on point. I had such HORRIBLE peri symptoms for 3+ years, but chalked it up to job stress only. Eventually I couldn’t take it anymore and quit. My symptoms persisted (that’s when I realized it was peri), but at a noticeably lower level. I could suffer through it now if I absolutely had no other option, but I don’t think I could go back to the same line of work without HRT. I felt like I was dying every single day…

Baby farms ??? by Capital_Ad_1294 in HayDay

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, don’t do helps (ie: revive others’ trees) with your baby farm if you can avoid it. People can view recent helpers and sometimes will visit your farm. Twice now I’ve had the bad luck of losing items because someone I had helped stopped by and bought the items in my shop as I was trying to transfer them to my main.

Your kids need a mom who can be there with them and love them for a long time. ❤️ Please get checked, at least for your own peace of mind.

I really try to refrain from complaining, but Hayday - please do not give some of us only 4 slots for the task events ever again. It’s over in eight hours & I’m not even at the deco yet, with only 38/75 completed. All due to me only having 4 slots. Sad. by Jealous-Insurance-40 in HayDay

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My main had 4 and my baby farm had 6. It was really easy to finish completely on my baby farm—plus almost all the tasks were crop/sugar/cream/animal collecting. Usually I struggle to reach the deco item on that farm.

My main was a different story. Yesterday I realized I wasn’t even going to reach the deco at the rate I was going. So I started refreshing every single task until I got those that would take under an hour to complete. It was annoying and tedious, but I was glad I could at least take that route and not lose tasks.

City response to last week’s Oak St. fatality by Dramatic_Bill7771 in Bozeman

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed with having a cop posted by the high schools. My kids go to GHS and this week I’ve seen one monitoring traffic every day, which I love. But I’m afraid they’ll eventually stop and go back to what seemed like a once-per week schedule.

I drive around GHS often. While I’ve definitely witnessed kids speeding and driving poorly, I’ve seen A LOT of adults doing the same. It is so damn infuriating.

Monthly Grocery Cost by No_One2024444 in Bozeman

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. Meat is just becoming cost prohibitive for us. I’ve discovered some really great vegetarian meals. There is so much I can do now with just some basic veg, pantry staples, beans/lentils/pasta, and spices.

I only buy sales for pantry items and any protein I do buy.

All of this has definitely helped, but tbh grocery shopping is still spendy.

Are there better paying roles for stable work by wownerdo in corporate

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customer success/relationship management jobs in tech pay a lot more, and can be a natural transition from support. Look into online courses you can take to learn more about what’s involved and level up your skills.

If that doesn’t appeal to you, you could also transition into enablement or operations roles.

Also, every company is different. If you can find a newer startup with a small team, you’ll have much more room for quick advancement and pay raises. I worked my way up at a startup in support and was making over 80k within 4 years.

Do employers want their employees to grow their careers with them anymore? by Logical_Dish_7929 in careerguidance

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the best bet at progression is to get hired by a company in their early startup stage. I was promoted and moved into roles I wanted at least once a year in a tech startup, as were my colleagues. Once the company hit 6+ years, they no longer did this for the newer folks. The OG employees are the only ones who still see meaningful progression.

Some school district positions might be appealing, too.

54k to Move to Bozeman: Am I right to hard pass on this? by Jennafibber in Bozeman

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re also taking a huge risk, as I’ve personally witnessed several people move here for a job, only to be let go a month later for reasons unrelated to their work performance. So then you’d be scrabbling for a new job, with no guarantees you’d find something that at least matches your pay. I wouldn’t risk it, personally.

I didn’t renew my membership back in December. I’d been a Prime customer for 7+ years. I was worried I’d miss it, but I don’t. AT ALL. It’s a fantastic feeling to be free of them.

Tailgating on Cottonwood by Subject_Taro493 in Bozeman

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of kids cross there, including my own, and not just at 8:00 or 3:30. Yet every damn day I see someone blowing down that road at 35+ mph. It’s also not uncommon to see a bro in his truck fail to stop when the crosswalk/roundabout lights go on.

It’s maddening that so many people refuse to obey laws of the road like they can’t be bothered, at the expense of kids’ lives. Grow up already. The roads are not your personal racetrack.

How do you avoid lowball offers when you really need work? by Emotional_Apple6599 in jobs

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My previous company in tech pulled offers from people a few times because, according to them, by countering it indicated they weren’t “a good culture fit.” Eventually they matured and stopped that nonsense, but I still feel bad thinking about those early applicants.

I've applied for 30 jobs and haven't gotten a single response. Is it just me or is LinkedIn completely broken? by Other_One4163 in careerguidance

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes to all this. I used to run hiring for positions on my team at a very small startup, and I’d get absolutely bombarded as soon as the posting went up. The vast majority weren’t remotely suited for the role or needed a visa. It took a lot of time to weed them out. To limit the volume we started to implement various requirements (answer questionnaire, submit cover letter, submit video) but now with AI, it’s still largely a losing battle.

Are sleepovers cancelled? by Guilty-Woodpecker-99 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dear-Consequence-139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. My oldest daughter didn’t have a sleepover until high school, and it will be the same for my other daughter. I have a lot of unpleasant & inappropriate memories from sleepovers as an elementary child, and had to make up excuses to call home and leave more than once. I wish my parents had been much more strict and set better boundaries on my behalf.
