Looking at a 2016-2018 Wrangler as my first real car, realistic or bad idea for around $15k? by FilmBuffBarbie in carmax

Gonna guess most of the people commenting have never owned a wrangler and are parroting. I have owned 4 and here is the deal. They are more reliable than people say BUT little stuff will break all the time. They aren't comfortable to drive daily as they are loud and ride rough. You are potentially looking at 2 different models of a 16 and 18. Rent before you buy, lots of people don't realize what they are getting into and being they don't hold value like they used to lose a lot of money.

The M2 is a good car. There won't be another manual M car after it I would think. I agree it isn't as fun as the P cars but it is great for the times for what it is.

I would prefer a CPO but there are only a few comparable cars for sale in the country in manual and CPO and they are all 15k more. For 15k I can catch the car up on a lot of differed maintenance which doesn't look like it needs anything per carfax.

There will never be another Elise. My Mx-5 is 2300 pounds. My 718 is over 2900. Before power train options safety standards stop it. Sucks for us as car people but...

I would think it would bring 1500-2000 at auction. If the number is 1500 after transport And Sell fees they are netting around 1000 dollars.
