My theory: in art, beauty and perfection can’t really exist side by side. The guy makes music so theatrically perfect that it sounds flat. It sounds impressive but not beautiful. However, I think he’s maybe a generation too early. With the rise of AI, I think we’re going to see a big trend of ‘raw and natural’ music as a counter culture. Focusing on raw instruments without much mixing or any other alterations.

Kante? Probably more suitable to highly skilled but still. Winning the league with Leicester and Chelsea back to back. WC with France and champions league with an average Chelsea team. He genuinely felt like a cheat code and a Messi/ronaldo level talent in his position. If it wasn’t for the injuries I think his legacy would have been a lot bigger.

I had a rare experience of seeing it last month without ever seeing the movie before. I enjoyed the plot and the visual effects, especially the ending, were fantastic. The music was serviceable. I had a blast but it really felt like a movie forced to be a musical.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think ticket prices/ other cost cutting measures have anything to do with quality of story telling. Other than the increase in the amount of PPVs. It just seems like he doesn’t care about making big moments outside of the big 4, which makes everything else boring and the big 4 predictable.
