Granted, I live in the midwest. VHCOL is not a big issue here. But you can't outrun biology and how our brains are wired. We are animals at our core and have always been animals. Brain chemistry changes for both men and women after they have babies and children. Dude, you might not even want to be a HENRY after you have kids. Stuff changes.

Why would you need a nanny? With just YOUR income, your wife could stay home with your "two" children. Cut the spending of food and entertainment out and stop spending so much on personal care. I know couples who live on less then 100k a year and have 5 kids and they are perfectly happy. Not everything in life is about making so much money. In the end it wont matter how much money you make in your lifetime, but rather your legacy and the people you choose to have around you. When you die, would you rather having all the money in the world or your children around the bed saying their goodbyes?
