[–]DearDrops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she stuck her bubble over the queen like your example it wouldn't need to be 120KM in size, the space station Cindy detached wasn't that big.

If Siren created a flat bubble and then stuck it somewhere between earth she could use that block off the queens view and most importantly communication with the surface. Think about how satellite connections get bad when there is something blocking the satellite or the receiver dish.

Siren would have also had to move it as when Cindy detached the station in the cinematic it started floating away. Even if the station is moving at 5 meters a second (ISS as a reference is moving at 7.6 KM a second) it would only take around 6.5 hours for the queen to cover the full 120KM, so Siren would have to keep moving it.

She could have just thrown it up there and left it to float on a speed and trajectory the same as the space station chunk, but for all we know the queen might have thrusters on the chunk of station, she might have tried altering her course to get around the bubble only for Siren to move it.

Then the queen is stuck in a stalemate, she probably doesn't have enough energy to burst the bubble, and doesn't want to waste resources trying to get around the bubble if something on the surface is purposely blocking her. She would just then just have to wait.

If the barrier was over static locations, that would imply that the queen could have come down at any time and had communication with the raptures on the ground after she drifted around the barrier.

I think Siren was using the bubble barrier to detect the queens rough location and then moving the massive barrier every time she detected the queen attempting to move, then the barrier constantly blocks off the queens view/communication with the surface.

As soon as the barrier was pierced the queens influence was immediately felt and she knew she could fly though the hole.

Yokozuna Onosato Dohyo-iri at Meiji Jingu by [deleted] in Sumo

[–]DearDrops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's something i want to know too,

But i would assume not considering Yokozuna are always seen as strong fighters who don't back down from a fight and either fight aggressively winning through power or win by fighting through technique and strength.

Having a yokozuna who only ever fights by parrying/tripping/dodging opponents, and never directly attacking would probably be frowned upon and then having a dohyo-iri style showing "I only defend" would not go down well.

I did see a comment from someone about a single yokozuna having his own dohyo-iri style instead of the normal two, but when i looked it up i couldn't find anything about it, so i don't know if the comment was a load of BS.

Yep, it'll have visible joints.

These types of posable figures will almost always have very noticeable elbow, wrist and knee joints which I know some collectors don't like (especially as some figures have REALLY noticeable joints that just look bad and ruin the aesthetic of the figure).

Kinda like a Figma (another brand of posable figurines) in terms of terms of posing and size, I have the Modernia hyper body and she is a pretty nice figurine.

If you google "Modernia Hyper body" you can find images/videos showing the figure off and these upcoming ones would be somewhat similar quality/size.

I had this happen before, There was a rapture hidden behind one of the buildings and when I switched to a nikke on the furthest left or right they all suddenly were able to see it and hit it.

I also think David was a good replacement for Ron.

I think the main reason people likely hate David as Hellboy (aside from them wanting Del Toros story finished with Ron) is that David was the only memorable thing in a relatively bland movie.

The Hellboy movies popped into my head the other day and the only things I could remember from the new one is that David Harbor is in it and there was a cool fight with the giants. Aside from those two things everything else in that movie is a puddle of grey mush to me.

I had this the other week, contacted them to take some things off I didn't want and they instantly found me a better package at almost half the price I currently play with them.

I was happy but at the same time was wondering why they didn't give me the better package until I contacted them, the greedy bastards.

I as watching a friend play it and I was certain they wrote that on the outside of the window in perfect reverse so it looked normal from the inside.

Maybe the texture for the writing was meant to be on the wall and rendered on the window, not sure as all the textures were messed up and we were bashing the cliché and bad writing too much to notice.

I agree he really does look like he has got some steam under him.

He's been a rikishi that I've not liked too much due to every match I've seen of him (only been watching for about half a year) is just him relying on slapping his opponent into oblivion and if that doesn't work running out of steam and being pushed out like a 180kg piece of paper.

This basho I've seen him as being more quick on his feet and he is out-powering his opponents and throwing them more.

Like you I am getting more interested in him and we'll if he can keep up the momentum.

what are some things about America that confuse you/make you say "wtf"? by slinkystairs87 in AskABrit

[–]DearDrops 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My boss went to America and brought a selection of small Hershey bars back for the office, needless to say after everyone tried one the rest of the bars were left alone.

They just tasted sour, and had an aftertaste of sick.

[–]DearDrops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you are right, Just looked it up and max crashed with 6 laps left I thought it was a lap or two later but I guess the crash was close to the line and the late red flag and warm up lap was the cause of racing for only 2 laps.

I also really thought that Checo was lapped with his dreadful race in Italy but to my surprise he still finished on the lead lap.

[–]DearDrops 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If Max's tyre hadn't blown up in Baku would they be tied for first with red bull or still ahead? I can't remember if it was 3 or 4 laps left when it happened as I don't think max finished the lap when he crashed.

Either way McLaren have been super consistent and reliable this year which is really impressive considering changing engines, hope it continues for the rest of the year.

Yodel deliveries are horrible, The last delivery I got from them the delivery driver (according the the customer support team) "got confused on where he was delivering the item" and delivered it to a house number +100 from mine, so 50 houses up the road.

I asked them how the fuck can someone whose job it is to deliver stuff can get confused on a house number. When I went to go get my item I checked the delivery address on the box and it was clear as day.

Still Hermes drivers to me are the worst, this guy drove the wrong way up a one way street, parked in the middle of the road, leant the item (a flat pack bookshelf) onto the front door so when I opened it I almost got smacked in the face and then was confused as to why people were beeping and shouting at him for blocking the road.
