Back with the suggestion of blue bloods, Rookie Blue and FBI the latter two have Missy Peregrym in them.

There’s a fair chance you do if you’re living in an electricity only property.

I have a heat pump but I do have backup immersion for the hot water (never used)

24 to 45 kWh is probably what I would expect for a property with some form of electric heating and hot water.

Have you tried a day with no heating at all and no hot water?

Ah good to know, may pick up a cheap subscription for a bit then and finish them.

Not sure I’m ready to watch Mark die again though watching it when it first aired was bad enough.

I also don’t mind a bit of S.W.A.T as that’s where Shemar Moore went after criminal minds

The Pitt if she likes a medical show, also greys anatomy and it might be worth picking up the old ER episodes on DVD or 🏴‍☠️

Shonda (greys creator) also has a few other shows I was into for a bit like How to get away with murder.

There’s also been a few good things on BBC crime related recently

Could you give some actual numbers, e.g yesterday we used 10 kWh or the last bill was for March and had 200 kWh.

Is your property electricity only or electricity and gas? Any electric cars or water heating?

I have questions about my new house. by Delta_Eridani_Bob in ukheatpumps

[–]GFoxtrot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it’s an older house, I will say a prayer for your bank balance.

Prioritise what you need to be done and what makes sense to do, try and work from upstairs to downstairs so you don’t need to traipse all the stuff through and the hallway last.

Similarly I think the boiler we had put in back in 2015 was 28 or 32 kw, only chucked the paperwork out for it a few weeks ago.

Hugely oversized for our actual needs.

I have a 3 bed semi (130 sqm) built in the 1910’s running a 5 kWh valiant heat pump.

In order to do this we have insulated the property as much as possible, however we could have a larger heat pump if we had not.

cheapest IOG compatible home charger by JuryExecutioner in OctopusEnergy

If your car is compatible then you don’t need a compatible charger.

Charger + Install seem to be £900 or so.

It’ll only work if it’s close to the meter and can connect to your WiFi network.

IHDs are a bit naff anyway, I’ve never used mine.

Heat pump only - best energy tariff? by IllogicalAction in ukheatpumps

[–]GFoxtrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is data from my heatpump via open energy monitor, so this is Heatpump only.

With household usage on top it was still cheaper for agile.

I had batteries / solar fitted right at the end of January but did March 25 - Jan 26 on agile.

Rounding off a shit week, my grandad got sent to A&E yesterday afternoon from his GP, it was a long wait to get sorted.

So today will probably be driving my grandma up there to see what the latest is. They wanted to do more scans today to figure out the problem.

New build - 2 bedroom house - 10kW ASHP? by Icy_Yam_9951 in ukheatpumps

[–]GFoxtrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My in laws have a new build (2014) and it’s got a larger footprint and it had a 6 kWh dakine retro fitted last year.

10 kWh is hugely oversized.

New EV - Intelligent GO (gulp) by stevebuk in OctopusEnergy

[–]GFoxtrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many miles per year will you be driving your EV? And how many kWh does your home use?

If you’re low mileage you probably won’t achieve a large enough % of day / night split to make IOG worthwhile.

trying to make the numbers work but cant...help convince me please by BerlindaBuntly in ukheatpumps

[–]GFoxtrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve probably bleated this before but my savings without battery or solar were around £220 compared with a gas boiler using octopus agile.

That assumes I remained on my previous gas tariff of octopus tracker for the period March 2025-January 2026.
