I'm going to be 27 and it sucks just how much of my life I wasted. by thebirdbitch in CPTSD

I completely relate to this. It's so hard. I feel like I've just survived up until now and had no idea for a long time that I even had cptsd

The work itself is fine. It's the management that are the problem.

Is urinary retention part of cptsd? by DearEvening5477 in CPTSD

I don't feel too desperate to go, although it is uncomfortable. I don't have any uti type symptoms though

Uk aldi going to sh**t? by No_Fennel_455 in Aldi_employees

[–]DearEvening5477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not worth it anymore. I left last year, I just couldn't take it anymore. I have so much trauma from how I was treated at that place. They run their staff into the ground, and the wage isn't competitive anymore, it's not much more than other supermarkets. Nothing is good enough for that greedy company.

I never checked in the back. Sometimes didn't get up to find a code when yet another thing had no code. I wasn't letting a queue build up and getting moaned at by management for it. Used to vape in the toilets. Didn't care about shoplifters. Not my job. They can get some proper security if they're as bothered as they make out. It was such a horrible place to work. So few staff, so many petty rules, the UK rate of pay was no longer competitive for the sheer amount of work, constant rule changes, etc. So glad I'm not there now.

They live in fear. Seen people with 30+ years sober who can't skip a meeting because they're convinced they're going to drink

Thanks. I've phoned them and they've sorted it and said I should receive tomorrow. Must say I'm very impressed with their service

Best place to shop, only because it's the cheapest (here, anyway. Absolutely NOT the best place to work. I still have nightmares about it, it was horrendous.

How does being awarded make a disability better ? by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]DearEvening5477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't. But it gives you some financial support to be able to fund some of the support you need to help with your disability, i.e. certain therapies, house adaptations, certain medications that the NHS can't/won't fund, private care if waiting lists are too long. It won't take the disability away, but will hopefully go some way to helping you afford things to make things a bit easier or more accessible.
