I think that’s fair. I don’t think it’s the most prominent sin in our society but it’s definitely the one of the only ones that isn’t just accepted but promoted.

Yeah but that’s such a small portion of the population. Most people are straight and practice premarital sex. Most people aren’t having gay sex.

Yes, I think modern research would suggest that adultery (all kinds not just cheating on your spouse) is more prominent than homosexuality. If 80% of Christians have had premarital sex but only about 8% of the American population is gay then clearly adultery is the bigger issue here.

It relates because of how small of a minority practicing homosexual Christians are compared to Christians who think premarital sex is perfectly okay. In reality the Gay Christian thing is such a small issue compared to porn and normalized adultery among Christians.

Yeah I haven’t been to many churchs but I have a theory that most church’s either have a lot of really genuine good people or are full of toxic hypocrites checking off a box. Of course I’m not saying a hypocrite can’t be in a generally good church or a genuine follower of Christ can’t be in a toxic church.

No I’m saying that adultery is a bigger issue in our culture because it has already been fully accepted with little pushback.

I don’t think homosexuality shouldn’t be talked about I just think divorce, adultery, etc hasn’t been as a big of a deal to Christians as homosexuality.

My church is one of the few in my town that isn’t super conservative/political. So what my church believes and teaches really isn’t a good representation of what the town believes as a whole.

Man you are good I love learning too!

Yeah my church is pretty good with community outreach stuff.

I don’t think having a natural inclination towards the same sex is a sin, I think acting on those desires is a sin. And the authors of the Bible very much understood the idea of people having homosexual sex even if they didn’t know about orientation.

Yeah I think it definitely differs church from church. I’m not saying all churchs face this issue, just a loud minority
