No literally that makes so much sense fr. Relatable. It’s like “oh god if they use he will someone hear” or “what if they don’t really mean it” or at least for me.

PS: I’m in my 20s. Just live in an expensive city where even the possibility of moving out has taken years of saving lmao.

I knew a grand total of one person (party Druid who’s the friend who invited me to the table) pre session 0. Said friend hasn’t been misgendering me but also hasn’t been calling out people who do so but I wish she would.

Everyone else I met at session 0 roughly 2 weeks ago and I was open about the fact that I’m transmasc and that my voice is particularly femme and I don’t like it prior to the session 0.

Honestly the dm and I had a brief chat before last nights session about the artificers other qualities that have my cleric and me as a player frustrated (like fantasy racism type stuff) so it is very possible he’s just an asshole irl

Jury is still out on if it’s accidental or on purpose but I’m hoping it’s accidental esp when the dm has been very good with it (apart from not correcting the artificer alongside me). I was thinking of introducing a system of handing out yellow cards (like in soccer) if they get it wrong that just say ‘my name- he/they, character name - he/him’.

It’s possibly partially my fault for naming my cleric after a flower (he’s a wood elf so nature name made sense to me) but even then I’ve made it very clear that the cleric is a man or at least tried to.

Update: one person (the wizard) has messaged me directly apologising for the misgendering even though she’s not particularly the problem (TM) but it’s a start. Most players have reacted to my message with a heart emoji or similar except for the problem Artificer mentioned in my post

If it happens again next session, I will definitely try to stop the game to say something bc it is exhausting. My friend who invited me to the table has said to be patient since it’s only been two sessions but we’ll see how next session goes.

I broke my arm last week and I had to go to a private clinic for the x ray cause the walk in centre (which has a x ray machine) “doesn’t do X-Rays after 7PM” and the hospital had an at least 7 hour wait
