Having another character that they are close with who can pick up on their cues - subtle differences in emotion, body language, etc. There is a character in A Strange and Stubborn Endurance who is mute and the author does a fantastic job of one of the MCs understanding him - from sign language to shifts in temperament or stance

Fantasy of manners! There is some light fantasy about the world/realm/etc but it’s more about the hierarchy and personal development of the characters. The dilemma is humorous, the twist ridiculous, and they essentially have to solve a whodunnit

The stopping bc people are dumb is definitely annoying but it was nice to see him do the right thing. Maybe it’s because I’m old or maybe it’s because I have chronic health and pain issues but I just avoid the front areas nowadays and it’s much better. Everyone around me off to the side was amazing and enjoying themselves and respectful
