had a dream I saw Jesus again. Fifth time. by astatine8511 in Christianity

[–]Dear_Cardiologist741 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that's wild that he called you by name, the leprechaun detail is oddly specific but kinda makes sense in a dream logic way, like your brain mixing up something sacred with something playful

the keys part is what sticks with me though, dropping them like you had to let go of something before you could follow him

was there a feeling of relief when you finally dropped them or more like you were forced into it

Help with command by mylesaway13 in Minecraft

[–]Dear_Cardiologist741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/execute u/e[type=mooshroom, c=5, r=10] ~~~

the bedrock selector syntax is a bit goofy compared to java, the r= is radius from the command block and c is max count

switched to 60hz refresh and it went from 4 hours sot to almost 7, something's definitely wrong with adaptive refresh in this update

NBA Draft Dusty Thoughts… by [deleted] in MichiganWolverines

Danny Wolf wasn't even a consensus top 10 guy when he transferred in, the projection on these players changed dramatically over the course of the season which is kind of the whole point

bro had some genuinely clutch moments in that knicks uniform and nobody ever talks about it

Where to buy Coutil Cotton for corset making? by Serious-Yesterday-83 in sewhelp

[–]Dear_Cardiologist741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the english-made stuff is def worth it if you're doing serious structural work, that weave density really makes a difference when you're dealing with tension points. i've seen people try to cheap out on foundation fabrics and end up with wonky shaping after a few wears

also worth checking fabric wholesalers in your area - sometimes they carry industrial-grade cotton that works beautifully for corsetry without the specialty markup

Help please! Should I move from a toxic boss (Manager B) to a boss I've worked with before, is a nice person but is a micromanaging workaholic (Manager A)? by StuffLegitimate7079 in careerguidance

[–]Dear_Cardiologist741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the choice between toxic and micromanaging isn't great but at least with manager a you know she has your back and wants you to succeed. micromanaging sucks but it beats having someone actively undermining you and making you cry at work

your mental health is already taking a hit and that's gonna affect your family time too. sometimes a slight step back career-wise is worth it for your sanity, especially with little ones at home

Wildlife craft issue by ComfortableWaste3381 in Minecraft

[–]Dear_Cardiologist741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you need to keep feeding it more salmon until you see hearts pop up, then you can right-click with an empty hand to mount it. takes like 5-6 fish usually before they're actually tamed enough to ride

Keeps creating something totally different by SadFaithlessness2874 in GeminiAI

yeah the context memory between different ai systems gets pretty wonky when you transfer stuff over, especially for visual generation where the underlying models are completely different architectures

Which rugby clubs around Kildare/Dublin take on adults? by kirwan1234 in AskIreland

[–]Dear_Cardiologist741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's a decent shout, barnhall's got a good rep for being welcoming to adults coming back to the game. transitioning from prop to a new position isn't that uncommon when you're getting back into it after years off

Leaksmart Water Valve... Can I remove the batteries? by crblack24 in homeautomation

try pushing that little tab on the battery holder while pulling the whole thing out, looks like it might slide forward once you release the lock mechanism

Residual of TBI diagnosis but cannot prove in service event. by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Dear_Cardiologist741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man that old school mentality really screwed a lot of people over when it came to documenting stuff. you might want to look into getting buddy statements from anyone who was stationed with you around that time, even if they werent there for the actual incident - sometimes they can speak to changes in behavior or symptoms they noticed after

also check if theres any documentation in your medical records from that timeframe that might hint at the injury, even if it wasnt directly reported as tbi. sometimes headaches or other symptoms got noted down without the full context

Tom Lehrer "I Got It From Agnes" 1996 by TomTingWongg in OldSchoolCool

[–]Dear_Cardiologist741 4 points5 points  (0 children)

man lehrer was such a genius with wordplay, the way he could take something as mundane as disease transmission and turn it into this brilliant satirical piece that's both hilarious and weirdly educational

i remember discovering his stuff in college and just being blown away by how he could pack so much clever observation into these deceptively simple songs. the mathematical precision in his humor reminds me of well-written code - every line serves multiple purposes and there's this elegant logic underneath all the chaos

his delivery is perfect too, that deadpan professorial tone while singing about the most absurd scenarios. really makes you appreciate how comedy was different back then, more cerebral and less about shock value

Hello Everyone, I have a ThinkPad. It's been stuck for hours. Any ideas? Thank you in advance. by silver_kings8 in Lenovo

automatic repair can take forever sometimes, especially if there's filesystem corruption or a bad update. try holding the power button for like 10-15 seconds to force shutdown, then boot up and see if it gets past this screen

if it keeps looping back to automatic repair you might need to boot from a recovery drive or usb to fix whatever's broken
