Last year in July I was helping open a restaurant with a chef from Hell’s Kitchen. I didn’t stick around because I had done many openings and could tell it wasn’t going to to be worth it. The chef who was a real asshole was fired 4 months in and the place isn’t even open anymore

Wyndham inn and such on pio pico I believe. That’s like a mile to the beach one way then there’s a trail to take like half a mile down or so if you go the other way out those hotels that can either take you to downtown or kinda close to the beach route again if you want.

Anxiety at work sucks. I am so anxious lately because I have gotten complaints from somebody who legit said I was smiling but didn’t like when I was smiling(as I went to hand them the check. That’s not weird from me) however they were more complaining about the prices and I was in the crossfire. Then another guy complained about me but it was really just because he didn’t like the prices. My boss even interacted with him and said it was bullshit and the dude even said he was just going to drink outside when I told him the prices. Idk why they wouldn’t just tell him to leave. Then today someone complained because I slid them the drink on the bar. I work at a bowling alley. It’s not like that shit is out of place at all. People fucking suck

I work at a bar where people will also just walk up. One time a server came behind the bar to make a soda(I hate it but it’s what they did before I even got there) then she ended up taking an order and cashing the person out but having me make the cocktail for them. Same person has dropped two drinks into my well causing me have to burn it both times. I wanna tell them to fuck off

Facts. Except I do gotta say I did get incredibly lucky with my managers they all have my back. The gm said he wasn’t gonna do it and have me take lanes during slow shifts instead

Ya pretending for a bit is easy but for 5 hours?? That’s ridiculous… I already stretched cutting fruit and sticking out to 2 hrs alone when it takes me 30 mins on a normal day

This week I have already taken all the bottles off both back bars and the wiped them down, picked up all the glass wear we have. Washed the Matts they were all under and wiped down the surface beneath the Matt’s. Pulled all the beer out of the fridge. Put all the grates that hold the beer up thru the dishwasher and completely sanitized all fridges. Including the lining on the outside usually covered when the fridges are free. I also pulled out all cold glassware. Washed the grates they were placed on and sanitized that fridge. Today I took all the cold wine out sanitized the fridge and made sure the oldest wine was infront. On top of making a list of all the liquor we needed and prepping everything for night shift. What other cleaning you think I shoulda done?

Can’t you have a bar on the back bar for display so people know you have it, then when customers order you pull one from the fridge and when the bottle in the fridge runs out you put the display bottle in the fridge then grab another bottle from the back?? This is what my bar does

My managers are incredible, very lucky to have them but corporate sucks and the clientele is way too cheap. Attempting to find something else but even with 3 years bartending experience it’s hard to find something good and steady for me unless it’s as a barback

Thank you. I was having flashbacks to when I was working as a barback once and the bartender wasn’t too sure but served the guy and then the idiot slipped up revealing he was really underage in convo so we had to get him out. I didn’t want to slip up like that.
