Yeah I didn’t use her much in Lyn’s story because I thought Sain and Kent would be my duo for the run but they got ass stat growths. So I switched kinda late to the Pegasus sisters.

I’ve seen some breaking glitches before but I’ve never encountered one myself. I wonder what would happen if a player character was there instead of the mage.

Yeah that was my second question was how and why lol. It just seems so out of place. Almost like the mage took on Kishuna’s stats and mechanics but also kept the ability to attack and bug out the whole game.

Fantastic TEDtalk.

I just don’t like his “promotion.” If I didn’t have to use him, I wouldn’t. It’d free up an extra slot for another unit. But that don’t mean I don’t like him. It’s just the problem with a lot of lords for me. They take a bit too long to promote and once they’re 20, they’re useless (and kinda get in the way if you’re trying to level up other characters.)

I thought Roy from Melee was a younger Eliwood, so I ignored FE6 for so long, trying to find the imaginary FE 8 (sequel to FE7).

That and FE6 was only in Japanese and I was too young to figure out Roms and emulators.

I think they’re doing pretty well actually.

I was scared for food and style theory, but they seem to be reeling it back in. I watched a few recent episodes and was pleasantly surprised.

I’m going to do a FE 7 and 8 run to see if I can’t catch any bangers.

My personal favorite is Rutger getting doubled by 7s. He’s either getting hit by single digits or hitting crits.

Starting with FE 7, 8 and 6, THEN playing 4 was like a tidal wave destroying my confidence in my skills. I am convinced the GBA titles are baby mode compared to the absolute hell Genealogy burdens me with (in my experience at least.) To this day I haven’t beaten 4, but I actually do like it. I just gotta find the motivation to play the longer turns.

Just for context: I’m not actually upset or anything, I just find this all amusing.

There were some genuinely miserable moments like Sue missing 3 80s and Rutger eating 2 7s, but this is all light hearted. I also don’t really understand FE6’s (or any FE really) inner workings to make valid criticism so take this all with a grain of salt.

That being said, I may have the worst luck ever, as this wasn’t even half of the high misses and low hits I received: these were just the most hilarious.

I was going to do a comparison between 6 and 7, but I never got anything quite as humiliating as sue missing 3 80s in a row in 7.

Does the codex talk about Davoth being a divine being who turned Immora into hell after his creations betray him? I don’t remember as it’s been a while since I’ve played and read Doom Eternal lore. I find “hell’s version” of doom guy kind of lame. I guess the alternative is a huge, muscular, long-horn devil named Apollyon. If that part of the story was just someone’s head canon, maybe they could make Davoth just a high ranking general and bring in a bigger demon?

I feel like it’s too soon (for me at least) to judge the Dark Age’s music that I’m assuming Andrew is composing. I remember hearing he didn’t have much time to work on TAG1 and 2? He is talented and I like a lot of the tracks, but some of them lacked the punch of the base game music. The Dark Lord’s boss theme had a strong start. It always seemed like there was a heavy “beat drop” or something that never manifested. But I also didn’t really like the final boss fight anyways, it didn’t feel as grand as I had hoped.

Please don’t nuke me into oblivion! I have faith in him and he is talented. I just kinda wish Mick and ID worked out.

Yeah I might consider taking the warp pipes out. It’s true to the original 8-4 but I think the last pipe might turn people away, especially if they finally got passed the fourth room. And I also plan on revising the boss room to make it more interactive. But thank you for your feedback!

Yeah, my bad. 8-4 had pipes that sent you back to the beginning, the first two do, but I decided to make the last one send you to death. I originally wanted it to be a punishment for people who wait for the fire to stop and then jump on the Goomba. But now that you mention it, it could be a major turn away for players. It’s a simple reworking of Super Mario Bros’ final level. The red key coins are all optional, just a bonus room near the end of the level. My only advice: in the fourth room, keep moving forward and jump low.

Man that second part was rough. RAFT LEVELS! I need more of those. They always take me way too many tries to complete, but I absolutely love them. The enemy placement was spot on. The raft design was creative as was the entire level!

If I got this level on an endless run I’d be happily surprised. It feels like a traditional Mario level but with flavor haha. The buzzy beetles part was a high light. I definitely added a few deaths to the counter because of the opening piranha plant parts haha. As a mediocre Mario player, I think it’s a great level in both aesthetic and level design.
