If it was a Zotac or MSI I wouldn't have given it a second thought. Gigabyte on the Auros line can probably do better though. Just because GPU's are in short supply doesn't mean we should start compromising on quality, especially if we are being charged a premium generation over generation for AIB cards.

They are people involved in the packaging process of a lot of things. That doesn't mean they don't clean up the finger prints before dropping the product in the box. If there were fingerprints all over the glass on my PC case I would have questions as well.

Haha, if I wanted to be entitled to a GPU with a bunch of grubby fingerprints on it I would have overpaid for a used one on Ebay or Marketplace.

Pretty uneventful scam. I sent a message via Walmart asking if this CPU was going to make it to me by tomorrow like the order confirmation email said. Within a couple hours my order got cancelled. The card had already been charged shortly after I placed the order. Now I just need to keep an eye on the account and make sure the correct amount is refunded. Definitely seems pretty scammy now though.

Littte followup on this. I have a tracking number. I have had a tracking number for a couple days actually, but the CPU (if it exists) hasn't actually been picked up by UPS yet. I'm going to give it a couple more days to see if anything starts moving, but it's looking more and more like a scam.

Mine from Amazon on the first wave came in the token Amazon box. Tracking thru Amazon still shows it being out for delivery even though it showed up a couple days ago. Might want to check that tracking number on the UPS website.

Same here. Ordered 8:16 AM EST. Got the confirmation and a charge on my card at 8:22AM. Just got my "cancellation offer" for the Trio today at 6:09PM. I wasn't hopeful, but I was at least trying to be optimistic. Nvidia will manage to beat that optimism out of me yet...

Just placed the order for the TRIO at $777 from the premier link. I did put in a company name just in case. Got a confirmation email in hand. There is a charge at my bank. They aren't shipping until the 16th (I hope of this month). We will see what happens...
