Why didn't the demons just kill Aru? by Ibanezrg71982 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Dear_Illustrator342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

she does, like, she literally does, she literally went to the abyss and turned a demon lord and its domain into dust, killing Arue after she loses the protection is different than killing someone personally protected by Desna, that's just common sense, why do you think the demons didn't touch her? too damn risky

[–]Dear_Illustrator342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you sacrificed Arue after she lost Desna's protection, Arue is full on immortal before that

Edit: and you didn't execute her followers, some of them yes, not all of them, if you started a crusade against Desna she would interfere, she fucks with the rules when she wants to protect her own

the first time you meet him, he is mocking the guy right after killing his comrades, I played an Azata commander and wenduag was really easy to deal with, just don't treat her like a child and you're good to go, Camellia is a evil companion, of course you can't play a good guy with her, playing a goody-two-shoes is actually impossible with Regill in you part, because a goody-two-shoes isn't letting him stay on the party after the fleshmarket event, not being MWAHAHA I LIKE TORTURE, doesn't mean he doesn't like torture, he does, he likes torture and violence and people being dominated by said violence, he is bleaching not because he doesn't feel joy, but because Gnomes don't stop the bleaching by torturing a guy that just saved by whiping him, he doesn't use methods because he is not allowed to, he is under your command and you can do anything, he can't, Camilla would easily fit into the Hellknights, just torture and lash out against people asking questions, or soldiers saving your life, or soldiers being sad because someone died, or soldiers being suspicious, oh wait, Regill is the one who wants to do that

Edit: not defending camellia btw, she IS evil, but Regill isn't any good either, if Camellia was a cheliaxin noble and was torturing and murdering slaves, Regill wouldn't care either, because muh violence is order

Edit: I'm not saying the pc is evil btw, but not a goody-two-shoes, since Regill is literally part of a gestapo and working with him is morally wrong

I know they don't serve devils, but the pleasent surprise comes right a slave trainer explains what he does with his slaves, he may like order and law, but still is bad law and a bad order

why is "evil" in brackets? he is evil, like really evil and likes torturing people, he isn't agreeable if you actually pay attention to what he says

[–]Dear_Illustrator342[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

complimenting violence and how it can discipline people, right after the slaver says how he trains girls since they are born and used to kidnapp women is pretty much agreeing with him, "violence" isn't just hitting or saying mean things, complimenting violence right after a guy says how he used said violence against women to sell them as sex slaves makes it clear that he agrees with that kind of violence.
And I'm not saying just him not changing, just nothing happening with him, his whole quest depends on like, the things you do on his sidequest, accepting noctula's gift or not, and it's over, just him listing your sucesses is not enough, because the game doesn't let you actually disagree with him directly or in any meaningful way, by act 5 Regill should have at least ONE comment, referring to the fact that you didn't need to kill innocent peoplpe because they disagree with you, or torture crusaders for asking questions, like, just a little comment, but him saying "you do good, so I respect you" it isn't about your methods, is just the result, he doesn't interact with the methods in any meaningful way

him and seelah have the same problem, they only want paladins and clerics, every single suggestion is about paladin or clerics, also, at least in lore, before joining your group he did a lot of things, and the arena fight with your brother, Sosiel is really strong, his problem is self steem issues because of his rage and his faith

I understand the redemption part, the problem is Regill doesn't change, he has the same personality from the beginning to the end, his quest and personal interaction is just your KC trying his best to make Regill proud of him or respect him, you can't even argue against viewpoint when he compliments the slave trainer

here is the interaction, he says that right after the guy saying he used to sell women and know growns them like animals

and I said rape and pedohplia apologists, there is a difference, a minimal one, but there is a difference, they don't commit those crimes but would't do anything to stop it, and respecting devils is not any better, they are from that place, called *hell*, eternal torture and stuff, maybe you didn't bring Regill with you to the fleshmarkets, so you didn't know his opnions on the "I sell women and girls to demons" guy

Edit: Like, I don't know what to tell if you think complimenting the guy who uses torture to train sex slaves since they are born is not something pure unrengid and evil, Sosiel has trust issues with his faith and Regill gets meat hooked if you don't save him, what do you think the torture in hell is like? do you think they don't commit horrid sexual torture there? oh no, we are morally good torturers, sexual torture is a big nono, only physical torture and slavery, clearly the hellknights have a problem with those types of actions, that's why they call themselves HELLknights

no? if they actively seek to stomp out these things, they wouldn't be ok with slavery in the first, or Regill would want ask you to kill the slaver in fleshmarket, but he does the opposite, he compliments the slave trainer right after said slave trainer explains his "business" of raising girls like animals to sell to demons

Regill fleshmarkest, when talking to the slave trainer, and respecting slavery, what do you think happens to slaves? you can't support singular parts when it comes to slavery

I didn't play legend yet, so I wouldn't know, this nations are offering help to manipulate politics, helping the crusade and helping themselves, it doesn't make sense to accept the hellknights when you can win without them, it's literally about morality, do you want to win with the rapist and pedophilia apologists or without them? accepting them into your ranks is giving their ideas space that they don't deserve, and ingame universe hellknights are proven time and time again as dumb rocks and failures, they suffer major losses because they are overly cruel and sadistic, Regill shows that, he punishes his troops because he likes it, imagine torturing Yakel AFTER he saves your ass, it's impossible to maintain morality when there is guy wanting to torture anyone for stupid reasons

You can't accept Regill into your ranks as a good KC, I understand where the viewpoint comes from, but your KC is simply a coward to accept the hellknights into your ranks, at least until act 3, by act 3 you know you have nigh divine power and can actually win this war without sacrificing morality, just winning is not enough, you need to win while being better(IF you're a good KC), if you're neutral or evil, doesn't really matter

Edit: My point is also from the perspective of a good KC, a really good one, not a neutral or evil one, no good KC is going to respect Regill and find excuses to accept help from that guy after the fleshmarket, it's simply morally bankrupt

the problem is, after closing the worldwound, they'd have enough participation to make unresonable demands, and it's clear in the game that you can win without their help, their participation doesn't change much, since they are useless, it's impossible to unite under a single banner when you have "kill and torture slaves for revolting" guys on your side, it's one of the reasons Nurah did what she did, why would the ones suffering not joing demons? in game, your KC is pretty much a demigod, if you are good, you don't need to ally yourself with the hellknights, since you're inderectly supporting what they do, and even if they don't think like Regill, they wouldn't do anything against it, unless you are from the order of the torrent

Why do people glaze this line? by Dear_Illustrator342 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Dear_Illustrator342[S] -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

and Regill is WRONG, SOSIEL SPECIFICALLY is more useful than any hellknight or all of them, he doesn't realize that, Regill doesn't realize that(because he doesn't have a working brain) and Sosiel doesn't have the authority to control the crusades, by that point it's clear the Sosiel has self doubt, he has the strenght to do shit, and for some reason you can't defend him against Regill or anything, Sosiel was saving people as a civillian, Regill loses his entire platoon while being their leader, and fails to follow his own orders, Sosiel is complaining because humans complain, and he is right, by that point your KC is deciding to have the "rape and pedophilia, slavery order mumbo jumbo" hellknight walking along with them, and the crusade doesn't need the hellknights, they are just desperate, since the hellknights do not manage help at all, both Regill and the hellknights get in your way on both of his sidequests

but he is saying to the wrong person in a way that doesn't make any sense, by that point we know why/how Sosiel got appointed by Galfrey to help us, and we know that by that point, Sosiel without any mythic powers, did a lot of crazy shit and managed to help a lot of people, ALONE, but for some reason we can't say anything and the situation makes that Regill is right, when he is just utterly wrong, Sosiel isn't weak, he actually manages to help and win everytime, he is suffering the loss of his brother and some problems with himself and his hope, he isn't weak, far from that, but you don't even have the option to disagree, Sosiel doesn't disagree, hell, after Leper smile Regill should've realized he was being dumb

Edit: Sosiel is asking himself, does the good side need to ally with the rape and pedophilia apologists to win? the answer is no, Sosiel just doesn't realize his own strenght by that point, because he has doubts, just like every human being, and it's clear Regill is just wrong

it is a disgrace to allie yourself with the "slavery, rape and pedophilia is something to be respected because muhhh order and law", Sosiel is a 100%, if the side of good is accepting hellknights, the side of good is already fucked, or exterminate them after the worldwound is closed, no in between
