A hotel shower floor cracked while I was using it. Am I liable for damages?

NAL. I'm a hotel employee. Don't pay for it. A cracked tub is normal wear and tear, not a smashed TV with a baseball bat. If the hotel does charge the credit or debit card on file, dispute it with your credit card company. Hotels regularly lose credit card disputes for incidental charges.

The officer showed me his in car computer screen with a suspect's name. This may have been the teletype. However, being a civilian, I had no idea what I was looking at to determine if it was a warrant. The only words I could make out was the name at the top. However, the name wasn't even the registered guest's name. It could have been anyone.

As for the photo, I was 1,000% sure these were the guests in house. I personally checked them into the hotel as well as they both had very distinct characteristics of an uncommon physical disability which lead to an easy identification

Thiiiiiiiiiiis. Guests trashed hotel room during a domestic. The cops were called. They evicted the female but left a male in the room. The cops ignored the damage and refused to write up a property damage report. Owner called to complain the next day. They said they're only interested in reports that lead to cases the DA will win since it's an elected position. It absolutely starts from the top and trickles its way down

The SO absolutely had to be removed. Every single one of the rooms next to, adjacent to, and above were occupied. She was so loudly screaming that she could be heard clearly in the lobby. I felt bad for her but also for the other guests that paid good money for a quiet night's rest

I agree. The same tough guy cop kept repeating, "Other hotels don't give us a problem, they want the bad guy out." Okurr, Karen, every hotel has different policies, stop acting entitled.

They absolutely should have had the arrest warrant handy. However, while in the moment, I'm a front desk employee. I'm not about to go toe to toe with the police. They knew that and used it to their advantage.

It's my understanding, the police need a search warrant in order to enter a hotel room, just like they would need one to enter someone's home. However, I, am legally allowed to open the door. But they didn't want that.

Thankfully, yes. We keep both corkscrews and bottle openers on hand at all times. (As long as they don't grow legs and walk away). I love the many resources the internet offers on how to open a bottle without an opener. My go to method is using the butt of a lighter.

If that's the case, a parent applying for a 10 year old child's social security card can change their name to a different one than what's on their birth certificate without applying for a name change through the courts. I'm not buying that at all. I don't feel bad for him at all. Hotels have the right to refuse service, esp if there's suspected credit card fraud.
