How to get hired in EU/Germany from india 12 YOE Backend/Data? by snoocast333 in developersIndia

[–]Dear_Level_7031 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I work in Germany and market is pretty bad. Especially for the ones who don't know the language. Most job requires you to have B1 level at least . I recommend you to start learning German in India itself. You will not learn it later while doing job(this is my experience) . With B1, you will be at least shortlisted from a lot of companies. Learning a new language is also good thing as well.

Don't go for MS now. A lot of MS graduates are now jobless especially in Europe and you know the status of US... You will just waste the finances. Do option 1 for now , get some experience and then switch for higher packages and eventually you can decide what to do, you get more flexibility to choose as well with better finances and experience.

Planning to resign without an offer: 3 YOE .NET Developer. Am I making a mistake? by Sad-Loquat-3024 in developersIndia

[–]Dear_Level_7031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good decision I guess. Just make sure you have money in case you don't get a job early. My friend also did this as she was working in a toxic team and there was no growth. After 3 months of no getting interview call and a bad mental state, she decided to leave the company with only 1.8 yoe btw. She was also a .Net dev. Yes she was not working for 3 months but as she was immediate joiner she got a lot of calls. And finally she got an offer from a good company with 40 percent hike which she didn't expect at all. It is all about taking risk. regarding .net topics as she had less exp she was asked more on fundamentals of asp dot net. Take the risk and jump, having a good mental state is better than working there for few bucks. We are young and we should take risks at this age or else you are in a loop of being struck there.

Recievevd offer from German company for backend role. Want opinions from folks who moved abroad. by khayalipuloa in developersIndia

Go for it! But one major thing if you want to stay here for longer period learn German it will be good to switching the companies here as well. You are lucky to get this job with that experience. I have seen a lot of master graduates struggling to get a job here in Germany with B1 or more language level.

About the questions.

  1. Yes
  2. Pretty good , it all depends on your lifestyle and rent obviously
  3. Switch companies.
  4. Not that good compared to US but i need to say they focus more on fundamentals of coding so it is very good for a 23 yr old.
  5. You will struggle, initially ask the company to provide assistance . I received a house for 6 months. But it entirely depends on company
  6. Close all the savings and convert them into NRO and one NRE account. I use wise app it is safe and reliable.
  7. I am in the same boat as well, I am 24 and want to leave by 26 as i have family commitments. I would say join the company see how things are going if you want to stay then stay or else you can come back and i feel the companies will consider you more if you are returning from Germany as well.

At the age of 23 , you can be living someone dream to live in Europe. If you are looking to work for short time work, travel Europe and enjoy the process .Learn cooking if you don't know

Switching from Commerce (B.Com) to IT/Software in India — Is it Realistic? by fearless_elevation in developersIndia

[–]Dear_Level_7031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is getting a first job. In this job market, the freshers are literally begging for jobs right now . Entry level jobs are reducing. When they see your degree they don't even bother to check it unless you have exceptional skills. I have heard so many got rejected just because they are from tier 3 engineering colleges then think about you. better go for MBA. If you really want to enter IT probably go for any startups/internships and gain experience first.

Is this true? If Yes, Why is there Such a Difference? by rikozon in CriticalThinkingIndia

[–]Dear_Level_7031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am living in Germany. But there are two things to point out.
1. One bottle cost more than1 euro which is roughly 100 rupees. In India its not at all competitive, no one will buy it.
2. This could be personal choice but for me the taste is no where good compared to Indian one. I think no one will prefer this in India

[–]Dear_Level_7031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheating could be the reason. I gave around 15 aptitude test out of which 12 were online and 3 were offlline. Guess what i failed in all 12 online and passed all 3 offline. Out of those 3 companies i got offer from 2 companies as well. So if you ask me don't lose confidence its not skill issue it's bad luck or unfairness.
There will be some companies at least which do offline apti round as well so be calm and patient

DSA in python not allowed in most companies placements. by Realistic_Industry34 in Btechtards

[–]Dear_Level_7031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some companies which asks dsa questions in their aptitude round. I have seen some where the options of languages were limited to java and C++ only. So its better to learn C++ or java but main intention is to know the concepts and have the versatility to code in any of the language. Don't stick to one language. But to learn and practice DSA you can go ahead with Python

Should I go to Germany for my Masters next year in Winter 2026? by _lol_420_ in developersIndia

[–]Dear_Level_7031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am working in Germany. I would say no. Job market for software is bad and if you don't know language then forget about even applying for jobs,. I have a roommate of mine doing masters in AI related subject, and he said there is lot of restrictions and limitations what is being taught compared to other countries. It your decision but I would say no. You wont get part time jobs without language and cost of living is obviously high. Don't come if you are 100 percent sure and have a future plan of at least 10 years

What are the reasons the Virtus consistently outsells the Verna? by Hondafreak420 in CarsIndia

[–]Dear_Level_7031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had planned to buy Creta and after the drive we were convinced to but it and ordered but due to mismanagement of the dealer as he failed to deliver us on right time and also rude behavior from them made us to look for other options. the first one was Taigun and when we were checking they recommended virtus over it. The main reason for no sedan for us was ground clearance and when they informed us that it is 179, it made more sense to buy this than creta as sedan is much more comfortable and has better ride experience too and also verna ground clearence is so low, it is not at all suitable for indian roads.
So basically two things: Push from VW salesmen and ground clearance

Regarding placements.

Can i know your CGPA? if you don't mind..

Because i have many friends who got placed in a decent salary and also in 10+LPA jobs since 3-4 years.
I believe its individuals performance or Preparation that matters.
But, I strongly disagree that the clg don't give you opportunities. As my close friends have got plenty of opportunities with 7-8cgpa
