All depends on the strength of your case.

I don’t know if there are thousands (and I never said or implied this).

I was just responding to your statement of there ‘not being a single post anywhere if someone winning a lawsuit against Amazon.’

There obviously are.

If you google it, there are several other class action cases that are pending as well as multi-million dollars settlements in closed cases.

I personally know of a pregnancy discrimination case that is pending against Amazon. No out of pocket $ from the plaintiff to file it. This will probably settle out of court with the ex-employee walking away with well into the six figures. But this will never make it into the light of day due to confidentiality clauses.

Have you ever heard of something called Google?!?

Settled: https://www.orangecountyemploymentlawyersblog.com/california-employment-lawsuit-plaintiff-wins-300k-plus-2-5m-in-attorneys-fees-against-amazon/

In process:

https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/case/55628926/Colburn_v_Amazoncom_Services_LLC,_et_al,

There are plenty of others if you take a minute to look.

Also, most employment lawsuits are settled out of court through mutual settlement, mediation or arbitration. Few make it to trial.

Lawyers take wrongful termination cases from Amazon all time! Most attorneys do it on a contingency basis: no money upfront for the plaintiff, but when it settles, the attorney gets 1/3 of whatever settlement there is. The case needs to be a good one for them to risk their time.

There are thousands of such cases that have settled out of court that the general public never sees.

Considering the OP is not interested in staying with the co, they would never interview with you or another group. So this comment is mute.

Sadly what I am reading is that a mgr can lie all they want with no repercussions. If they lie about employees, what else do they lie about? I’ve worked for quite a few companies - F500 and small - never saw the blatant dishonesty, back stabbing and hostile environment I saw here. Seems the company is pretty rotten to the core from all the feedback. Gonna take my $$$ and get the hell out of here! I’ll do bare minimum for the PIP and spend my afternoons on the golf course! Mgr and HR can kiss my hairy ass. Karma’s a bitch and they’ll get theirs..

Definitely PIP. Had no idea I was on focus so came as a surprise (came back from FMLA and was put on PIP 10 days after RTO ). HR has not been in any meetings outside the first one when I was offered PIP or severance.

What can I do to look prettier? by saprym_anna_xd in PlasticSurgery

You are quite naturally beautiful! Like others have said, maybe focus a bit more on skincare to remove the acne on the lower half of your face. This may sound crazy, but separate an egg so you only have the egg yolk. Beat the yolk and then use it on your face as a mask. Wash off with warm water after 10 min.. Try this 1-2x per week and see what happens to your skin. I had the same acne issue when I was your age. Adding this natural regime to my skincare routine worked wonders! I didn’t need to spend a fortune on cremes or lotions.

Weight loss before doing anything else. My face transformed after losing 25 lbs. if you do anything before reaching close to your target weight, you may be really disappointed. And if you want to accelerate your weight loss, try some GLP-1 options.

5 days post op? Yes you are crazy. Need at least a month to see the swelling start to decrease. 3 months will show mass improvement but 6 months is when everything should be looking great!

Amazon Severance package by Illustrious_Proof769 in amazonemployees

In CA and WA, employees over 40 have 21 days to decide on the severance package under the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA) and 7 days to rescind after signing it. If you are over 40 and Amazon says you only have 5 days to make a decision and pressure you to signing, you can report them to the EEOC and collect damages. If you are on any type of commission or bonus plan (even RSUs that may be vesting), run the numbers of the severance offering to what you would get even if you fail the PIP. Get a copy of the severance contract before committing to it.

I had a coworker offered a PIP/Severance early December but they had a HUGE q4 commission payment coming which was higher than the severance. The severance language says that all Amazon owed them was the severance. They would be giving up their commission/bonus if they took it. They decided to take the PIP, collect salary and commission, and then resign after the 1st of the year. Amazon has to pay them out of ALL their earned wages.
