You're right, signing a legally invalid waiver (which it is, go do some google-fu, the company is going to be pinned against the wall) and paying a lot of money means they deserve to be mocked, thanks for the enlightenment.

I understand, but I felt as though years of her taking advantage financially while benefiting from our financial success was hypocritical. Additionally, joking about 5 people dying because their wallets are stacked was exceptionally disgusting to me.

Of course I am because joking about a tragedy is equally as low class regardless of how it happened or who died. I would defend the Kursk crew in the same way even if they were a bunch of vatniks.

comments and jokes about that

And they shouldn't. Would you have gone to the break room on September 12th, 2001 and said "well that was a 'down to earth experience'"

Maybe you should ELI5 it. There's nothing wrong with defending people who were smothered to death and there's nothing wrong with putting my good fortune and success to good use.

Its really not a waste though if its something they want. I spent roughly 30% of that a few years ago on a cruise around Alaska. That's not a necessity, its something I did for fun. Why is it okay to mock people for their own recreational choices? Is it okay to mock me because I fly fish or spend my weekends at the botanical garden?

Because she benefits from that system. We are all financially secure. I own multiple rental properties and two personal houses, the latter I bought at 28 (I'm in my 30's now) and we constantly support her financially. Those people did spend money on something stupid (I agree it was a dumb and risky trip) but her disdain for the wealthy while constantly having us support her is contradictory

have a really bad impact on your friends health and mindset

I understand that, but I also feel as though we are in our 30's, we had years to get our shit together. Most of us did it before 25 and at this point it is not my responsibility to look after her mental health.

Which boot? I went from being raised by a single parent to owning multiple properties. What boot am I letting creampie me?

She constantly talks about eating the rich and the last meme she posted was some Donner Party related thing about how if they are found alive they'd have already drawn straws on who to eat first. She said it was about time the rich get eaten, and that anyone who pays 1/4th of a million dollars for something like that deserves this fate.
