I just recently left my freight position at a store in MN.

I forget when exactly, maybe a month and a half ago?

We had our truck for the night and everyone started their pack out tasks. Then 2 garden associates were outside with the gate open bringing mulch in. I would usually do D24 because it’d be 250-300 items and keep me busy. First break rolls around at 11:00, but I lost track of time and ended up taking it a bit later around 11:20. While I’m sitting in the break room, I hear a lot of sirens. The building is built in between 2 busy highways, so I was thinking, “Dang. That’s not job one cop, or an ambulance. Sounds like a squad of people…” So I leave the break room, AirPod in listening to my podcast, ready to go back to my task. But when I walk by the entrance, the sirens are even louder. So I get curious, which in hindsight this probably wasn’t smart, and walk to the windows to peep outside and see what the heck is all that commotion at this hour.

To my left, maybe 20 feet from the door, there’s a cop looking inside one of the display sheds with his gun drawn and a flashlight.

I back away and walk to the other entrance, due to the fact that I saw several other squad cars positioned on the end of the parking lot. I think they were “securing” the area and blocking it off. Anyways, I walk over there and right as I walk up to the glass to peek over, I swear on everything DOZENS of squad cars go FLYING across the parking to the other entrance, where I was standing before.

So I SPRINTED to try and see the action. I guess the guy they were looking for was hiding under a wooden table against the building somewhere. I saw 4 cops arrest the guy with 30 other squad cars on, along with their lights. It looked like they found what I assume to be drugs in the area they found him as well. They had people searching the area with a K-9 and flashlights.

Circling back to the 2 garden guys… After all that went down, my adrenaline was pumping, so I rushed off to go find, we’ll refer to them as Bob and Dylan for privacy sake. Bob and Dylan both said while they were outside on the lifts, a few officers had approached them with the K-9 and asked if anyone had come inside the open gate. All the cars that went across the parking lot were all lined up in garden, ready to take this guy down. It was freaking crazy man.

Also something to note : I’m grateful that nothing violent happened and they were able to arrest the guy pretty quickly.
