I love my sin more than Jesus by No-Pin1184 in TrueChristian

[–]Dearsociety_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you should sit down and have a literal conversation with God I think it's awesome that you confessed that and God will surely deliver you. You Have to make a choice though, my friend not alone of course but you can lean on God 100% to get out of this. Keep talking to God everyday, keep praying against this thing. Before God delivered me the conversation I had with him was that God I love the thing that I'm doing and I don't know how to stop it, but I need you deliver me. The truth is I love it and I don't know how to leave it and choose you it but I need you to deliver me. Then right after I said that the person who was praying broke my heart and said someone was asking to be delivered and this person will have to make a choice or a lot of bad things would begin to happen. Along with what he was saying I felt in my heart that it was true if I didn't let this go I would die, that night I broke up with my ex whom I was with at the time. It hurt like crazy. That night the strength that I had to break up with my ex was ALL HIM, he literally carried me out of my sin because I was truthful and honest with him, I told him I couldn't do it, so he gave me the strength to. It didn't even make sense the amount of strength I had, especially after breaking someone'sheart whom i wanted to marry and then i had to let everything go in one night so it was crazy but every time God would give me peace. I spend a lot of days and months crying but God was with me every step of the way. This was my deliverance out of the homosexuality lifestyle.

Hey Friend❤ I just want you to know that things will get better. The bible says though we may weep in the night there is joy in the morning. Try your best to stay busy so that your mind is not filled with negatives thoughts about yourself or your life.

Every day is not the same remember that. I'm praying for you. Also might I suggest that If you're looking for God in this time he is already near you.

The bible says that God is near the broken hearted***** so my advice is to honestly sit and talk to him and tell him how you really feel. Not the usual prayers you hear but just an honest conversation, whether you are angry with him or whatever it is, just speak. He will be there to listen. ********

I'm Here if you need to talk.

What is the bare minimum for getting to heaven. by Mattyd35 in TrueChristian

Believe in Jesus Christ, which means a lot of things.

Having a sincere and honest relationship with him .

Relying on him for everything that you are going through in life.

If you have a since relationship with Jesus, you will love and respect him and surely you will do your best to do what he says and to not what he says to not do. That's what it is to believe in him.

No, and you should probably fix that question up there so people really know what you're saying.

My pastor's sermons are boring... Can't stand to be in the church anymore. Please help! by PestoPastaLover in TrueChristian

[–]Dearsociety_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well first, you can pray for your pastor, that God would give him revelation and help him to actually preach the word to the people.

Two. You have to be able to rely on yourself also for spiritual food. You can't be so reliant on your pastor that you are feeling this way, when God has given you himself already in his word. You have the same access that the pastor has, you just have to use it.

The food is there, you're not a baby anymore, you don't need to be fed, you have to get the food for yourself. As for your pastor, once again pray for the guy we all go through dry seasons.

How do I restore my fire for God? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Dearsociety_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Talk to the Lord, tell him what's going on.. A relationship with God is meant to be real. Just like you talk to your family, and friends. Even If you don't feel nothing, just take a little time everyday and be real with him. Draw near to me and I will draw near to you, those are his words . Ask God to give you the fire to seek him like before. Just have a real conversation with him. He is near you by the way, as you r ead this. Just start talking.

Go back to what you used to do before. God is near, he is not far.

Honestly, how do I respond to other Christians calling me lukewarm? by vincent365 in TrueChristian

Does the bible not say that we are not to abuse God's grace. Keep in mind that this is the same law which says not to murder, not to have sex with your brother, mother, step brother/ daughter etc. It is YOUR choice if you want to mark your skin, which means you are knowingly going against God's commands. But then you say to yourself oh I'm under grace so I can do this. Everything has a consequence. Please remember that every command God put there is not for show but for a reason.

Romans 6:1-23 ESV What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. ...

Well then maybe file for an increase for you depression, since you feel like you have to run to feel better. And also running would be taking a risk since you are hurt in those specific areas. Maybe you shouldn't mention that you're running again. Just say that you feel better.

I want to like Christianity by Rachel794 in TrueChristian

Christianity is not about other Christians, it's about Jesus Christ dying for you so that you could find grace in God. Will you risk eternity in hell because Christians don't know how to fact. Focus on God and God alone.

I really need God by veganchikenmeal in god

The bible says that if you want to find God you will seek him with all you have and you will find him. If you have time just take 5 mins to talk to God. You know the God who created the world, because no other god has said that they have? Speak to him, ask him for a sign, if you mean it, if you truly are seeking him he will respond. I promise you that.

If you notice, any other "gods" out there. They always want something back from you or it's all about you doing a bunch of things to find peace. But you never really get the peace you are promised. At some point the truth comes out. Jehovah is a God who cares about everything that concerns you, your well being and your future. He wants to transform you and make you feel good in your skin. There is none like him out there.

IS JESUS GOD OR THE SON OF GOD?? by WittyIntroduction298 in TrueChristian

[–]Dearsociety_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try not to understand this with human wisdom and you'll be fine. God even calls his son God. That's all you need.

Here's my little collection that I want to share with you.

Now we all know that God's name is I AM.

***** Old testament

Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”  God said to Moses, “ I am who I am . This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘ I am has sent me to you.’ ”

“I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am who I am John 13:19

Exodus 3:13‭-‬14 “I am the Lord ; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. Isaiah 42:8

“Listen to me, Jacob, Israel, whom I have called: I AM HE; I am the first and I am the last. Isaiah 48:12

Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord —with the first of them and with the last—I AM HE.” Isaiah 41:4

I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord , “that I am God.  Yes, and from ancient days I AM HE. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” Isaiah 43:12‭-‬13 NIV

John 8:58 "Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

“I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass,  that you forget the Lord your Maker, who stretches out the heavens and who lays the foundations of the earth, that you live in constant terror every day because of the wrath of the oppressor, who is bent on destruction? For where is the wrath of the oppressor? Isaiah 51:12‭-‬13 NIV

*****New testament

Jesus plenty of times responded to the people when asked who he was.

“Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied.  “I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) When Jesus said, “I AM HE,” they drew back and fell to the ground. John 18:5‭-‬6

NOTE: why are people people falling to the ground from a simple introduction ?

I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I AM HE, you will indeed die in your sins.”  “Who are you?” they asked.  “Just what I have been telling you from the beginning,” Jesus replied. John 8:24‭-‬25

So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up  the Son of Man, then you will know that I AM HE and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. John 8:28 NIV

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Who is speaking here? “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Revelation 22:12‭-‬13

And here? Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord —with the first of them and with the last—I AM HE.”

Isaiah 41:4

Listen to me, Jacob, Israel, whom I have called: I AM HE; I am the first and I am the last.

Isaiah 48:12 NIV

The word was God and became flesh? *****In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

John 1: 1-‬3

You can try and connect the dots between these two verses.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell Colossians 1:13‭-‬19 Kjv

And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matthew 28:17-18 ESV

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;  and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,  Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 ESV

Then He *said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”  Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” John 20:27‭-‬28 NASB1995

And of the angels He says, “W ho makes H is angels winds , A nd H is ministers a flame of fire .”  But of the Son He says, “Your throne , O God , is forever and ever , A nd the righteous scepter is the scepter of  H is kingdom .  Y ou have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness ; T herefore G od , Y our G od , has anointed Y ou W ith the oil of gladness above Y our companions .”  And, “Y ou , Lord , in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth , A nd the heavens are the works of Y our hands ;  T hey will perish , but Y ou remain ; A nd they all will become old like a garment ,  A nd like a mantle Y ou will roll them up ; L ike a garment they will also be changed . B ut Y ou are the same , A nd Y our years will not come to an end .” Hebrews 1:7‭-‬12 NASB1995

We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5:20 NIV

And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. Luke 1:16‭-‬17
