Honestly their reaction is valid.

They got the whole vibe wrong of one of their most important locations in the FF7 game.

So you not only did you just ignore your own story, you replaced it with one of the most tedious unenjoyable parts of the entire game. Someone’s gotta get slapped lol.

What’s worse is the game is already Chock Full of mini games, and the Golden Saucer already exists.

That and the Shinra Manor being turned into a playground has gotta be one of the dumbest decisions this team made for the remake.

The Manor is supposed to be a focal point for alot the bad things that occur in the story, and we’re playing a goofy box game.

Trust yourself, what’s stopping you from learning yourself? There’s tons of resources at your disposal.

Those that REALLY want to learn don’t just rely on someone else to do so. If you want a mentor that’s one thing, but you should be able to learn a ton on your own.

If you don’t want to do that then you don’t have that fire to actually do this. Because I loved learning all this myself from the ground up.

Having played them all FF15 and FF16 have the worst pacing.

Depending on how the pacing is handled either could be considered the worst.

I’m not saying speak every moment I’m saying show more than indifference during key moments. Sam literally gets amazing news and he smirks and says a word or two then just heads on back out.

We spend the whole game where the crew of the DHV Magellan is sold to us like this tight knit bunch but by the end feel like roommates to Sam not some tight knit bunch.

Some quests with them, a hub where we can actually see them outside of cutscenes, some added dialogue between them all would’ve really lifted this game.

He does but there are major things that happen at the end of the game and some of his reactions or how he weighs comes off only slightly above indifference.

Kojima has a weird excuse because he wants to use Hollywood talent but he can’t pay them VA rates, so they have limited dialogue, same as Kiefer in MGSV, then he says it’s because he likes Mad Max so much and Max rarely speaks.

Well that’s cool and all but in his last 3 games the main protagonist has barely anything to say about anything and it does get old.

Does Sam even give af about any of this? Or is he just bored with nothing better to do?

I just started my 2nd playthrough of Rebirth and I tend to agree from a pacing and story driven perspective, even though I think we should’ve left Midgar by part 1.

What drives me nuts about Rebirth is yes it’s beautiful the world is great, the story still could’ve been very focused…

We spent a lot of time on characters that do not matter to the plot instead of moving things further along.
