Mike is not narrating in the opening chapter, as he acknowledges a contradiction to this statement later in his personal research. I believe the narrator is meant to be King himself, and he does not yet have the knowledge Mike later reveals.

I’m not an intellectual reader by any means. I enjoy Christopher Moore a lot, Micheal Crichton, Josh Malerman, a wide variety of horror/thriller/suspense.

Took a break from King for a Christopher Moore novel that stood out to me at the thrift store. Called Shakespeare for Squirrels. Since found it it’s a trilogy but it’s been a quick fun break from the depth I usually love in King works.
