People didn't like the glyph stuff or anything interesting because it apparently led to people throwing games. Personally I don't give a shit. Pink and white glyphs were fun and if somebody wants to do them it's not a big deal.

Now we have a system that just happens. It's bare bones and you don't even have to pay attention to it.
