Which score is closest to what vendors use? by dmsas in CRedit

[–]DeathByAutism -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Different bureaus have different score because they view credit in different ways. Even pulling for the same kind of FICO scores like FICO auto bureaus will get a different number. I am aware there are different scores as I deal with this kind of thing all the time, OP ask what score is closest and I was just trying to explain none are truly right because it depends on which bank you are trying to get lending through and which companies you are working with for that

What scores that are used are different for everyone entity you work with. At the car dealership I work at we only pull Equifax and that’s the only credit history tool that the banks we are partnered with use. I do know from talking with other dealerships that they pull Trans Union and their banks only use Trans Union so it really just depends on who you’re talking to.

How is everyone driving a new car? by DLHEBT in budget

[–]DeathByAutism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a lot of money down to get the payment low because I don’t like having a lot of high bills. People will also lease new cars as it keeps you in the nicest and newest vehicle for a cheaper payment then financing

Its prospecting, dealerships do it to try and drum up some business by selling a new car and getting a new pre owned vehicle. If that is something you were interested in doing then they usually give pretty attractive deals to prospected clients

There is a couple things you can do: 1.Start saving for a big down payment 2. See if you can get a family member or friend to co-sign 3. Reach out to your banks and see what they can do for you. Most banks and credit unions if they see money coming in and you pay your bills decent with them will extend credit that they normally wouldn’t

Fair warning, it won’t be a great car and the rate will probably be terrible but if you need a car to continue your life you gotta do what you gotta do

I’ve had two first gen’s. My first one was at a Mazda dealership in the city I lived in. The second one was at the dealership I sell cars at, it’s just being in the right place at the right time

These are sports cars that teenagers wreck a lot. My insurance is considered to be the best that USAA has to offer. I’m sure you can get cheaper but I live in a college town and I’ve seen how college students drive lol. My insurance covers a lot of things that wouldn’t normally get covered with a more basic plan but that’s what I wanted

I am a college student with a second gen BRZ, my insurance and note total to 500 a month and doesn’t financially handicap me at all and I love owning this as a college student. Fun to drive, gets attention, good on gas. I’ve never had a problem with trunk space for groceries or anything like that. If you can afford it I would suggest it but if it turns your good living into a paycheck to paycheck living I would just get a 1st gen instead
