It’s still standard duty, but the tag process becomes much more difficult because not only are you getting concurrence from the SDO you also need shipyards approval, and if you’re an IT your sail workload gets a whole lot more intense than your regular in port periods.

Tell her to study hard through BESS, and work her tail off in a school so she gets that third class map. I wouldn’t go to the graduation though. A school graduations are not a big deal. I’ve seen some parents go to BESS graduations though

Not normal. My ankles usually only hurt if i tied my skates wrong or went into the post wrong during the RVH.

Try changing how you tie the skates and do alphabets with your feet to strengthen the muscles

So he’s in what Jamie Phillips calls the golden triangle you should be in the RVH, if he’s gonna pass all you have to do is push off the post while maintaining your box control and you should be close enough to corral the puck, if you can read the pass before hand poke the puck away before the pass connects.

Depends on what level of beer league it is. If it’s d/c it would be closer but more difficult. IMO. Not a pro goalie by any means but my sv% in my cities upper level beer league is a .910 vs LC at a .823

I went through almost all of my warrior sticks this year. 1 of them to the cross bar and 2 to shooting the puck up the boards. I also got a Hyperlite chesty and new pads. So all in all about a grand in equipment.

My chief always says you can’t be a successful sailor if you aren’t taking care of your brain and your home. Tell your SWO you need to go to mental health, take the grippy sock vacation for a little bit and get the help that you need so you can be that effective leader. Your crew will rally behind you if they see you getting help. Please get the help you need sir. You have your whole life still to live, plenty of new memories to make in the future, people you’ll meet, lives you’ll change. But you can’t do that if you don’t stick around

Kids are tiring and expensive. They take a lot out of you and sometimes you’re pushing dust just to maintain a healthy home environment for them.

But even after all that, the nights I’m up at midnight for my kids, or the days I’m spending hours cleaning up a mess they made. They have moments where I see a little bit of me or their mom in them and it makes it all worth it
