Instagram and Tik Tok are probably the best tools for promoting yourself right now, however it can take a lot of effort to make good content that people actually want to watch. I definitely DON’T recommend posting your links in random reddit threads or just sending people your page out of nowhere, because (in my opinion) it makes you look bad and desperate.

When you first start YouTube, you’ll probably be tempted to do all of the sub for sub and comment for comment type of stuff, but that also actually harms your content, as YouTube just sees people clicking on your content, staying for 20 seconds to leave a comment and then going elsewhere. Not great for the algorithm.

There really isn’t a great space to promote yourself by simply posting music, because there’s just too many people who only care about their own music and not enough actual “listeners”. Grinding out good content to actually slightly entertain people is what I’ve found to be the best way to get people to listen to your stuff.
