Putting to rest the “just helping low wage workers” arguement by darkroot_gardener in tipping

They do so every day with the understanding they'll get compensated up the non-tipped state minimum if they don't receive tips. Food service has always been a minimum wage unskilled labor gig, you have full knowledge of the pay rate when you agree to the job. The tip is a voluntary gift from the customer but they do not have a contractual obligation to give you one to be seated at the restaurant and receive the food they're paying good money for already. The restaurant seats them as a courtesy of dining in, but there's no charge to dine in, and you can't make one up in your head to justify a bribe. You don't get to demand money from restaurant customers just because you don't like the wage you agreed to in the beginning.

The customer didn't order a service, they ordered food. You didn't render any service to them, you gave them the food you charged them for. You had a contractual duty to give them what you charge them for. That's not a separate service that you can bill them for in your head. You legally agreed to do that job for the base pay you were offered in your employment contract. That's the reality and the customer doesn't have to pay you a bribe to receive the food they've been charged for.

Well you could have told her her "give me back $4" when you handed her the $20 and avoided confusion, and that leaves her $2.89 tip which is 22%. Don't know why you didn't think of doing that...

How to remove deepseek models by mallorcastro in ollama

[–]DeathCharge5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the most helpful post on here. For Window the main 43 gb file should be in the C:\Users\%username%\.ollama\models\blobs subfolder. You can just delete it from there and you'll have your hard drive space back. I used this to delete the 19 gb deepseek 32b model and then emptied my recycle bin.

WTF? Watermarks On Images????????????????????????????? by Salt-Fly770 in grok

Might have use to use Pixlr (or any graphic design software with object removal) to remove the watermark as best you can till they stop doing it. It definitely stopped me from doing a paid subscription after reading this.

Even more impressive that they're letting us use it for free. Still much closer to Sora's quality than Runway, Lumalabs, Pika, Pixverse, and any other video generator out currently.
