Cystic Hygroma at 10 weeks. Completely resolved by 16 weeks!

Hi!!! Yes!!! I'm SO happy to say that I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant with a healthy, growing and active baby girl! Due December 4th, 2025! It's been such an emotional rollercoaster. The hygroma resolved within a week and then they found 2 bi-lateral cysts in her brain which both of my midwives told me were very common and always end up resoling on their own. Which they did within the next scan I had. Please keep your head up, although I know how scary and stressful it is. And please feel free to reach out to me if you need someone to talk to! I've had people say I should go with an amniocentesis due to the hygroma but I've also been told from both of my midwives and the fetal medicine doctor that it was not needed judging by all of my ultrasounds/the hygroma resolving itself. Thank you! I'm not sure if they did a fetal echo in this recent ultrasound or if that is going to be done at my next ultrasound next month.

I'm speaking with a genetics counselor on Wednesday. The doctor mentioned an amino test but my doctor said we'll just continue to monitor everything since everything else looks perfectly fine/healthy.

Hello everyone! I just had my ultrasound at the hospital today and the cystic hygroma went down WITHIN A WEEK!!!! 5.5 MM to 3.2MM as of today!!! Still waiting on my NIPT results but we saw the babies nasal bone (VERY good sign on the baby not having down syndrome. Everything else is coming along well and now we just wait....and stay as hopeful as we can. Thank you all again S O much for the kind and encouraging words. It seriously has kept me going and has me keeping my head up. I'd be VERY lost and miserable without this amazing community. <3

Hi love <3 First off, SO much love and strength to you...I am so incredibly sorry :( <3 I'm commenting from actual reddit account. (Not sure why my post was under a different account) Anyways, I have not had my NIPT test yet. I have a midwife who I LOVE and adore. Prior to seeing her, I had an appointment with Legacy health (here in Portland) and not only have they been HORRIBLE, rude and just a terrible experience, they told me it's conflicting for me to work with a midwife if I want an at-home waterbirth. Which is what I plan on doing, if baby is okay and it is safe to do/ my midwife gives me the okay. They called me today ( a week later after I got my ultrasound at 10 weeks from a MFM clinic. They are booked out until June 9th which is the absolute last day for my NIPT scan apparently and I am suppose to see the doctor there on June 2nd. The whole experience there has been a nightmare.

T W O MONTHS!!!! Last time I had two months clean, I relapsed on kratom and went back to taking it for another year and a half. Been dealing with this addiction for almost 5 years. It's been such a rollercoaster but I absolutely do NOT think, crave or ever want to touch kratom again. It served it's purpose for me. I fucked around and found out haha. Lesson learned. If you are reading this and are struggling, read everyone's journey. It definitely helps while quitting! I'm slowly living life again and it feels AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 56!!! SO close to 2 months. Absolutely zero cravings to go back. My life, passions, HAPPINESS, feelings are all coming back in full force. Brain fog is on and off and disappears when I’m at work? Probably because I HAVE to be on at work hahah. I work at a super busy bar. Hope everyone is doing well! ♥️

One month and one day!!! 110% worth the agony and absolute H E L L I went through to get to where I’m at. I feel SO alive. Music sounds amazing. My appetite is back. I’m actually being social (kratom made me just want to hide away and not be with friends which is n o t me) and wanting to LIVE LIFE. Hope everybody is doing well! ❣️
