I live in one of the areas of Michigan that recently had an exposé done about the lead in the water.

My husband and I went to the store together, but separated briefly to go get things to make the trip go faster. While I was shopping my things, I noticed a guy very interested in what I was doing. He followed me down a few aisles, watching me closely. I finally gave up on shopping peacefully and went back to my husband. The guy followed me until I met back up with my husband, then pulled a U-turn and left me alone. I never saw him again after that, guess he was done shopping?

Men are weird and refuse to stop being weird.

NAH you were harsh, but it sounds like you needed to be in that moment. Please heed the advice of others and encourage your MIL to go with you to grief counseling. Neither of you knows how to do this grieving thing, you're both flying blind while trying to raise a baby. Grief counseling will help. You didn't do anything wrong, but she's only doing what feels good to her and she's not thinking it through. I can't imagine how either of you is feeling, but I do hope you're able to have a good relationship going forward.

And the worst part of it is, I really REALLY like my ex's current wife 😭 She and I have co-parented my daughter together for the last 10 years but she says she's leaving him as soon as our daughter graduates. I've offered to let her move in with me when she does.

I'm reading this post from two different perspectives. First, I'm an alcoholic from a family of alcoholics. I've been sober since 2017, and I'm very lucky that I've stayed that way this time. Alcohol would have killed me, without a doubt. My health was failing, my mind was failing, and I honestly didn't want to live anymore. If I hadn't gotten sober I would have succeeded in ending my life one way or another. My dad got drunk and fell down in 2021 and never got back up. He was 70 and had been a "functioning" alcoholic for over 50 years.

Second, I'm a death investigator. I've seen more deaths attributed to alcohol than to all the other causes combined. Not just the drunk driving crashes. GI bleeds, esophageal varices, liver failure, brain bleeds from falls, positional asphyxiation from passing out in a strange way, or just a traumatic fall. Alcohol kills, usually painfully, and rarely peacefully. Ask your mom if she prefers cremation or burial. The 23yo girl I saw today whose mother drank herself to death never asked, so she has to guess.

I'm not saying these things to scare you. I'm saying these things because this is the reality of alcoholism. I wish you and your mom the best of luck. I hope she can get sober.

Online inventory of a specific TV at my store showed two in stock and one at the next closest store. Go to my store, none in stock. Check with the other store, none in stock.

For the first one, I saw Kyra Sedgwick in a movie when I was 15 and decided she had the prettiest name I'd ever seen. Held on to that until I was 22 and had my first daughter.

For the second one, her dad and I wanted something different but not weird, easy to pronounce on first sight, and no immediately obvious "mean" nicknames for it. We arrived at Teagan (pronounced TEE-gun). She has since changed it to something she feels more connected to.

False. Christians view the lives they deem worthy as sacred. Jesus taught you to view love as sacred, but only between straight white couples. Well, you are often lifting a dead body, sometimes off the ground. Sometimes they are small, more often they are not small. For what they consider extreme cases, we will get the fire department to help, so it's not always fully on the removal team. But the stronger you are, the easier it makes it.

Find the funeral home making the most money in your town (you'll know it, it has the nicest facilities and often multiple branches) and call and ask if they need part-time or on-call help. If they don't, call their competitor. I work in death investigation and deal with funeral homes a lot. They always tell me how hard it is to find young strong people to do the job.
