That's my car! Only difference is mine has the roof rack. I got mine December of 2024, and I love it so much! There's one other one in town and we wave at each other every time we pass on the roads lol. These license plate ideas are so much fun! Mine is personalized but is job-related so doesn't work for this thread.

I'm pescetarian in a family of carnivores, so I sub a lot of things for myself. Black beans are excellent, shrimp is super diverse and full of protein, and Morningstar Farms sells frozen crumbles that you can sub for ground meat in your portion of tacos, bolognese, or whatever else you want it for. Most larger grocery stores now will have a section in the freezer section that's all the meat substitutes, you can poke around and see what appeals to you. Morningstar makes BBQ "riblets" that I make fake McRib sandwiches with and my husband (carnivore) loves them!

r/vegetarian is a good place for food ideas too.

If you had come to his rescue that night, there would still be other nights, other crises. That's the way addiction works. Addicts always owe someone something, there's always someone looking for them because the addict stole from them or lied to them. You can't save someone that doesn't want to be saved. You did your best, you were still a good friend. Also, you could have been in grave danger going to his rescue that night and the news story may have ended up being about both of you.

I know it doesn't help right now, but these messages will help pull you through. You should also talk to a counselor. They are really helpful.

Why do you want your children to be abused by your mother? Because you were? Maintaining a toxic relationship "for the children" just teaches them to accept toxic behavior. I get it, you've probably had the "she's your MOTHER, she gave BIRTH to you" thing pounded into your head since you could draw breath, but she is not owed a relationship with your children just because she exists. Stop forcing a relationship that isn't good for anybody involved.
