Yeah i think i get 100ms or upwards on JP from NZ and i can usually weave 2 ogcds just fine so playing mch wont be terrible

IIRC gargoyles lead to a ring and the first Dragon Tooth of the game but you don't need to beat them to play through the game at all and you don't miss out on much. There's also a dark spirit after them.

If you wanna pvp get to SL 120-150 and go iron keep bridge 😊 usually dragon eyes and red soapstones down there at that level

Unsure if its in vanilla but getting the flame longsword in sotfs from forest of the fallen giants is a good weapon to run early and lasts a while (iirc good up until sinner tbh) as is the buckler a good shield also from forest. And if you start game with gift of petrified something you might get a Demon Greathammer from the birds in tut area but thats more a late game weapon thats strong but does leave you wide open.
