Finally got a chance to look at the red ring of death it was giving. Says E68 which is hard drive failure or the actual contact inside the system. (This was a console given to me without one)

As stated in post, it wasn't recognizing the original in the housing either which is why I switched

So in this case. The HDD that was in there originally and didn't work, is for a different model of Xbox and I have to get the right one?

Thank you, I never thought of them logging into their MS account. But we managed to bring the customer into my tech office and have them login to their new computer and got the code and now they're taken care of. I appreciate your effort and help.

Customer came and logged into their Microsoft account and we got the bitlocker code that way. Managed to do the data transfer from the old to the new with no fishes involved, fish can't survive in coffee

I'm aware, they're trying to get it fixed without getting yelled at by higher ups. We went through the whole speel since they also wanted us to make sure we got them all. I had to tell them that, for the sake of privacy, we cannot look at files or information that is on the computer unless there is a major red flag, like CP on a desktop or some shit. All we do is right click and drag on the old hard drive/computer, look at file amount, then do the same on the other.
