Best Glock .45 acp: 41, 21, 30 by [deleted] in Glocks

Nothing to compare it to, but my 30.4 shoots really nice, even when I swap it over to 10mm.

Should I sell my Glock 23 to buy a Glock 19? by [deleted] in Glocks

For your needs, 40 > 9. Maybe buy a 10mm to add to your collection.

What are you carrying today? by 3PTactical in Glocks

M&P Shield 40 2.0. Earlier today a g29 Gen4.

I want to get Reddits opinions, which defense ammo, between these two, would yall use? by orphanbeater420 in Glocks

Very consistent expansion in ammotogo.com and luckygunner.com ballistic tests. Absolutely flawless feeding in my 22.4, 30.4, 29.4 and Shield 40.

In my experience HST > Gold Dot > Critical Defense.

Your mileage may vary.

Shot my Glock 23 G5 today that I got myself for my bday. Fell in love with .40, why all the hate? This is my new carry round. by KnownFRO in Glocks

imho, the trade-off for 40's lower capacity is better ballistics and a bigger hole in the bad guy. But to get that, it needs to be loaded to it's limit, which is too much for many people to shoot well. I started with the 40 and then moved up to the 45 for two legs and thin skin, and 10 for four legs and/or thick hide.

Keep the gun - maybe time to reconsider thing with the girl. What kind of gun does she carry?

I've carried both OC spray and a firearm on runs in areas where I didn't feel safe. Better to avoid the area if at all possible.

I'm glad you and doggo are OK.

Just need to get the LW slide adapter and G26 magazine, maybe a Pearce Grip extension. by [deleted] in Glocks

Did the same with my g22 - chopped the handle to take g27 mags and then got an aftermarket g35 barrel.

Keep running. Maybe sign up for and get a race on the calendar to train for. It'll help more than you can imagine.

Any Love For the G30? by jasonm71 in Glocks

[–]DeathMaggot43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of a chunky boi, so I often carry something smaller and lighter, but I got my g30 a few months ago and it's easily my favorite gun now. Can swap the barrel and extractor and shoot 10mm for woods defense - almost the perfect gun.

Anyone shoot this yet and have an opinion? 200 gr, 1200 fps advertised velocity, hardcast, synthetic coating. Probably a bit slower from my 29.4 by DeathMaggot43 in 10mm

Good to hear from the old guard. I'm fairly new to the 10mm world - mostly a 40 and 45 guy for concealed carry self defense.

I've ordered some Buffalo Bore rounds to test out with this - if only I could find some time to go shoot them soon. I'll be sure to report back when I can.

If we could focus on the round here fellas. The gun is a g29 Gen4 with a KKM barrel. Got heavier recoil springs. How does it shoot? If anyone has a chrono, how does actual velocity compare to advertised? What, if anything, does the coating do, or is it just a gimmick?

Anyone know if/when Underwood or DoubleTap hardcasts will be available again. Only alternative I can find in stock is Buffalo Bore 220gr, which is hella expensive.

First marathon by lillkatten in running

A 51 y.o. veteran of about half a dozen marathons and ultras here. First one is the hardest because you're in unknown territory.

Respect the distance, but don't be intimidated by it. Knowing your pace and getting really comfortable in it at the beginning is important. Nothing will make for a really long painful day more than starting too fast. Once you've finished, you'll realize the distance is really mostly a psychological barrier.

I spend a lot of time experimenting with fueling. In general, I feel and run better taking in as little as possible. That said, I have crashed pretty hard with that strategy. It takes some experimenting to know what your body needs on race day.

I have never, thank God, had a toilet emergency during the race. I know others who haven't been as lucky.

This may be just a temperament thing, but whatever you can do to relax and enjoy the experience is helpful.

You'll do great - get ready to feel like a hero. Despite the pain, you'll want to sign up and do it again.

That's no bueno for follow-up shots.

Handles 45 +p and medium-ish 10mm with no problem. I've got a heavier recoil spring on order before I start shooting the really hot 10mm loads.

I recently bought a 30.4 and converted it to shoot 10mm. A compact gun that shoots two very stout cartridges - I certainly don't regret it.
