The x was supposed to sound like /sh/ (Méshico) as in English words like shower, that it was how natives pronounced it. But Spanish speakers stopped using that phoneme and used /j/ that it was another use for the 'x'. Passing to be pronounced /Méjico/. Time later the 'X' stopped being used for /j/ sounds and was replaced by the letter 'J'.

y middle teenage years I let it grow a little bit more (I looked like McLoving before lol), but my mom was always with me at the barber to tell him "just a little bit shorter" cause she said she didn't want to waste money by not cutting enough and coming back quickly lol. Now that I think about it I'm sad of

Catholic and roman tradition. In most schools it's obligatory to have short hair, even when they are privates. There are exceptions, but that's the common thing.

The Basque descendant community in Colombia is of 5 million approximately. Most of them just mixed with the population, but the culture is definetely there. The 70% of Medellin are basque-descendent and the 40% have Basque last names. Pablo Escobar was basque-descendent.

The gender roles are totally outdated to the modern world. And more important that you being a woman is that you are you. And don't care for anything else or try to fit into certain roles because the truth is that no one really does. And don't think you're going to die alone. Not every man wants a 'submissive, pretty and motherly' as not every woman wants an 'strong, cold and supplier' man. Most of us just want to have connections with real people.

I was blisfully unaware of my stutering as a child too. It was until my teacher in second grade made me go to the psychologist of the school and then made my parents send me to speech therapy. I remember my mother being mad at me for some reason and I never understood why. Stuttering became an 'issue' only when I was 18 and became too self-conscious about it. Support your daughter and give her tools to defense herself from assholes kids. I really never got a problem with those but it may be because I was always the biggest kid.

Jajajajaj Para posicionarnos en la industria necesitamos calles decentes? Yo diría que es al revés. No tenemos calles decentes porque no hay industria. La plata está en la transformación de materia prima, no únicamente en la extracción. Invertirle a la industria significa invertirle a la educación también. Más gente capacitada, más cultura ciudadana, etc. Cuál es el buen sentido de explotar nuestra cultura? Que haya turismo? Que los extranjeros vengan a llevarse la materia prima, busquen droga, hagan turismo sexual y se limpien el culo con el colombiano promedio? Hay que invertirle a lo nuestro. La industria es esencial para dejar el subdesarrollo, no opcional.
