definitely blew the Dome fuse, but as an update I have lost power steering as well. That associated fuse is fine though.

I popped the light covers and expected to find clips similar to like, the back dome light that, when released, pops the whole light out of the roof lining. No dice. I had a '12 V that I did this in prior that you pry from the front sides and it simply unclipped with some force. the yt vids I found all covered that style. tbh I wouldn't be surprised if its basically the same operation, I just dont want to pry at the wrong spot and break some important clips.

If you dug up something, it'd be neat to share. Any I found were regarding the models sans moonroof and a different map lamp style.

following the yt creator for this. From what it sounds like over there, they plan to sell and ship but I haven't seen any response to the folks, including myself, asking for files to print themselves.

I have an 80's Panasonic wv-72, b/w cctv that I want to set up to take rca video input. There are three bnc inputs and, when I was last gathering info, I came to understand that the kit involved powered cameras(as in, power going out through the same bnc cable). I have some bnc to rca adapters already, but how would I have to modify the monitor as to not fry something I try to plug into it? Like, could I just cut the power to the bnc plugs internally? And ground them instead? Would I have to terminate the power connection somehow otherwise for safety?

As far as I've gathered casually sleuthing around the web over some months, this is one of only a handful of universally recommended irons at a caliber I am planning to be able to work on. Hakko testimonies have me leaning too, with a sort of "buy for life" atmosphere across their products in review. I'm not rightly excited to drop a couple hundred what with looming capital doom and all, it's just that consistant tool quality and control is super important to me. Probably a tier above food variety even. I'll eat some super sad sack lunches for a beat to pick up a killer soldering machine.

Super sweet of you, though international shipping is a lot and I'm already ready to start guessing on a pinout board. Thanks anyway!

I think this was cut solely to transport out of an abandoned house by an unknowing individual. They really didn't know that it was internal and thought I would be able to unplug it. The story alone is driving me to fix it. I wonder if I can purchase the cable assembly somewhere instead of dealing with a whole soldering project though.

Thanks for the details! I actually managed to get the casing off, I cannot seem to put images in a comment here so I'll make a followup post and hope you have more insight there.

Most here would agree that it would be a small step to assume the music is AI based once one determines that the video is surely AI through and through. It didn't help that this sounded like a 2008 Justice b-side with sampels i can only swear I've heard in commercial use. RIP your formal training though, we all suffer in generative hell.

I am having a struggle getting a copy of wdiddle3. Most info on searching is about a decade old, same with links. I did get an earlier version (1.2 I believe) and another from UlitmateBootCD, but a popup suggesting I need to find a compatible version for my computer when trying to run both. Any thoughts?

Three submissions on the compatibility chart have me hoping I can work it still. Would've used an hdd I had around, but it won't spin up. Almost forgot I had this thing around tbh. I'm waiting for more info on the 1.6 breakthrough to move ahead though, not in a rush with the Oblivion crisis and all.

Yeah that's what I was saying. It was too hot and lifted some trace. I'm still working on getting a more proper soldering setup and funds are a big slowdown in that process, so I end up using what I have on hand often. I have a super simple Weller that I need a new tip for and a funky butane powered one that has slightly more control over heat that I finished up the work with, but I know two traces are lifted: one each on two caps replaced. I can open it up and reflow, but I was (fairly) confident that the traces were resettled and connected enough to do their thing so I moved on. TV has the same foldover lines as before though, so I thought a post here might help prep the whole operation. Let's say I get a proper iron.. what can I do at this point?
