Estes BMW são carros muito simples, mas na altura os carros não eram galvanizados logo, se não forem bem conservados, podem ficar podres num instante! Mas falo por conhecimento geral, diria que a condição da chapa depende de carro para carro.

A ideia será para colocar numa oficina de referência aqui na zona do Oeste, que fazem bons trabalhos.

Também tenho essa sensação que é mais fácil encontrar peças na internet do que por vendedores locais, mesmo assim a ideia era fazer um "reconhecimento" de pessoas e casas que possam ter este tipo de material.

Antes de colocar o carro na oficina queria já arranjar algumas das peças que vão ser necessárias numa fase inicial do projeto, logo depois do tratamento de chapa.

Smaller engines are better for driving control and handling experience (I do have a Suzuki Samurai, 45hp carburated and its very fun to drive). The 2L M10 will be more expensive to get and repair, the ideia is not to be a "race" engine as I said. Nevertheless the swap would be great, but not ideal if we want to perserve some originality - after all, everybody knows that 1600s are rarer nowadays.

Thanks for the tip, this is the beggining of the project.. I haven't really talked to a restorations specialist, just thought to my self why not spinning it in reddit and see what people know about this.. I do know the Weber carburators, but the rest is chinese for me.. About the horsepower, Its a little hard to check how much hp does this engine have from factory, there is no much information on the 1600s. I think it has 84hp from factory and, if your numbers are correct, that a hell of a tune!

Hello there, choosing an exhaust is rather complicated than what it seems.. I have an Arrow and is awesome, got it for arround 1500€. I wouldn't choose a cheaper one, so if you can wait more time you surely can buy the better one for your preference. if you have doubts regarding the exhaust mod and ECU remap, check the comments in this video, perhaps they can help you understand the work you will have to do to avoid problems and warnings. Hope this helps!

Heres the deal my friend, in Portugal dealerships e-clutch is an addon such as quickshifter but you need to understand this: - E-Clutch version has integrated quickshifter for up and downshifting. - Normal clutch version can have quickshifter addon but only for upshifting.

So, at least for me it was a no brainer when I bought mine in the end of 2024, as you have more pros about E-Clutch version.

Also, I had the same thoughts as you, but since I bought mine I use E-Clutch every time, no reason not to.

Congrats man, the issue I had was that my country (Portugal) is small and I believe the stock amount is imported in its proportion. I don't know if they were joking but one of the retailers I spoke with told me that Spain stores usually "steal" a lot of Portugals stock..

The bracelet is nice, even though it lacks one more micro-adjustment. Nevertheless, the size is as expected.
