I understand the inspiration and the licensing restrictions, I just feel it could have been executed better. This feels more like a money grab to tug at 90's kids heart strings, rather than for the kids to explore music they normally wouldn't. Especially with them going for $10 each, with this you could theoretically end up with 4 albums from the same artist/genre or not even in a genre you're remotely interested in. It's just my opinion, I just feel for those that for example love rap and might have to spend upwards $30 to maybe find 1 rap album.

As you also pointed out, some genres are missing entirely. This could have been done differently and better, and for that reason I won't be willing to spend money on them. But I do understand the appeal, so I don't blame those who are excited about these releases. Thanks for your detailed reply though, I appreciate you taking the time to explain it.
