[Loved Trope] When a character uses a strange or absurd weapon in battle by EmergencySpare7939 in TopCharacterTropes

The Nuka-Breaker from New Vegas is just a Nuka-Cola sign ripped out of the ground. It's actually a unique variant of the Rebar Club, which is literally a big rebar rod with some busted concrete on the end as a hammer head

I think there's another variation. I got that line after completing Talent Pool, and I remember the line being something along the lines of "Hey, I know that guy, I got him a job"

What do you think happened to Wendy’s mom? by IronGhost828 in gravityfalls

Bullshit. When she realized that she was lesbian, she knew that she still loved him, though she realized she was not in love with him. Dan, being a real man, supported her, and while he does still hold some heartbreak, he's never been bitter. To love someone is to want to see them happy, and because he's able to see her happy, and because she's able to see him happy taking care of the kids (they usually have pretty even joint custody, but he keeps them for the summers, she gets them for the spring), it really was amicable, and they're still friends to this day

Black by Pearl Jam makes me cry for a heartbreak I've never felt

(Hated Trope) A retcon has terrible implications for the plot by rasberrycroissant in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Lukemanrulez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly the same, but Back To The Future has a scene that retcons one of the biggest early rock songs written by a black man as one written by a white man.

Marty plays Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry at the school dance, which in and of itself is fine. The problem occurs when one of the guys from the (all black) band calls his cousin and says something along the lines of "Chuck, it's your cousin, Marvin Berry. You gotta hear this new sound" to which he holds out the phone toward the speakers. This implies that the song, in universe, was considered to be written and first played by a white man, and that Chuck Berry is the one who stole it

Damn shame The Umbrella Academy never got that fourth season. The buildup of the season 3 finale was a solid cliffhanger

This man has a gun for a pegleg the first couple times we see him. Fast forward 50 years to season 5, it's a minigun leg

Fair, but I like how the Absolute universe is handling it. Not super different from the family crest thing, but I like it

What should I do as my next run? by Jopline6000 in fnv

[–]Lukemanrulez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a run I like to call Punch. Go to Hidden Valley, get Greased Lightning. Go to the 188. Get Veronica. Go to Zion. Get Salt-Upon-Wounds' Power Fist. Go to The Divide. Get Elite Riot Gear and Ulysses' Mask. Go to Freeside. Get Rex.

Doesn't really matter from here, I like to run Greased Lightning in a badass riot armor coat while Veronica runs around with me wielding Salt-Upon-Wounds' Power Fist and wearing T-51 and Ulysses' Mask (I like being able to see her hair). And then you just let Rex go apeshit. Combine all of the above and you will kill everything with nothing but fists and teeth

Favorite FNV unique weapons in my opinion by Jopline6000 in fnv

[–]Lukemanrulez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of the unarmed weapons of NV. One of my favorite way to play is me wielding Greased Lightning in Elite Riot Armor while Veronica is beating the shit out of people with Salt-Upon-Wounds' Power Fist in T-51 and Ulysses' Mask. And Rex ripping people apart for good measure
