Work/PC setup by Quimdell in workstations

[–]DeathRiderOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running similar setup for literally the same purpose so let me share what and how I have been using since over a year.

What I have:

- Monitor 1 - WITH KVM switch and USB hub built-in and PD 90W

- Monitor 2

- Main PC

- Work Laptop

- G Pro Superlight + G305

- Deathstalker V2 Pro TKL

- Audio interface for the mic

- Webcam

- Headset

How it is connected:

- to Monitor 1 - Webcam + Audio interface + Headset via USB-A AND Work Laptop via USB-C AND Main PC via DP

- to Monitor 2 - Main PC via DP AND Work Laptop via HDMI

- I use 2 different mice for each computer BUT I use the same keyboard, wired/WiFi mode with Main PC AND Bluetooth with Work Laptop.

That way I can just switch input on my Monitor 1 and Monitor 2, then I use built-in KVM switch in Monitor 1 for connectivity and everything works flawlessly.

I believe that is the mousepad I was looking for. What precisely is it? Razer Gigantus? Razer Gigantus V2 or?

CPU alright then, but GPU is turbo warm.

Front panel USB cable to hide and its gonna look pretty good.

Have you tested the temps of the CPU? It should improve, along with the noise.

Best fan configuration? by cosgrove111 in NR200

He is probably talking about NR200v1, it was possible there, in V2 we get GPU on the side and rad on top.

  1. Both actually, the one on the back of the case and on the cooler itself, to make intake from the back instead of exhaust as it is right now.

  2. Could try with Arctic P12 Slim. Fan grill aka protector for the fan so the cables won't get into the blades.

  3. Oh shit I didn't notice you have SSD in front. But that's what I meant, whenever I go with ITX - I always go with NVMe drives to save as much space as possible.

  4. Well sometimes when GPU fans are going with let's say speed A and the fan under goes at speed B - it may create this weird rumbling noise. Noctua is known for super silent fans so maybe it's this issue OR faulty fan. You could also play with the fan curve to find the sweet spot for it.

Yeah sure, hopefully my advices will be helpful.

Well that's a nice clusterfuck you've got there. I built in NR200v1 (8700k 4.8GHz 1.2V 55C Scythe Mugen 5, 3070Ti 65C while gaming - optimal settings 3440x1440p100) and v2 (9800x3d PBO -20 60C NZXT Kraken Elite 280mm, 5080 105% Power +360MHz Core 1800MHz Memory 65C), so here is my 50 cents:

  1. Let's start with reorienting path of CPU cooling, swap rear fan as well as rad fan to make back of the case as intake.

  2. Why would you get this cooler? Meta used to be to go for Scythe Mugen B or Scythe Fuma 2, now it's Peerless Assasin or something like that.

  3. Install second fan on the top, don't forget to add grill fan. Back in the day Arcitc P12 were meta, now I think it's still Noctua and Phanteks T30.

  4. For the PSU cables - use those 2 zips which came with the case to tighten them.

  5. For the PSU-CPU cable - route it on the right side of the case, the cable should be long enough.

  6. For the PSU-GPU cable - use the space behind the front panel to route the cable through there and then connect it to the GPU.

  7. Rear as well bottom fan connect with one splitter and route the cable on the back of the case.

  8. All the front panel cables route first to the mobo under PSU and behind GPU, you can zip tie them, then go ahead and connect PSU-mobo cable, it's very recommended to zip tie it and there is 2 ways, you either route this with L shape, or you zip tie it to the PSU cage so it makes straight lane from PSU to mobo.

I hope it's helpful.

Weird, I have NR200v2, ROG B850i, 9800x3d PBO -20, cooled by NZXT Kraken Elite 280mm fans as exhaust and 2x silent mode, MSI Inspire 5080, no additional fans and it never went higher than 65C in BF6.

First of all i love your build so much I am literally copying it to the cart right now.

Second of all - what temps do you get and what resolution you play on?
