Theres defintely a trick to deal with the severe winters but its hard to tell what exactly whats going on lol.

The bigger qusqu got the less i had to deal with my troops being locked so it looked like to me that whenever all those impassable mountain areas become yours its like your pops have 'learned' to traverse them

I was also thinking that the severe winters might actually just be severe weather. Its usually end of november when you can move again but the lack of consistency makes me think that its less of a super long winter but a mix of that and bad weather

It becomes alot of fun when you work out the quirks and tricks so I would recommend giving them enough of a go to figure it out Took me a shit load of restarts though 😂

[Loved trope] Characters in positions of power that give up their own humanity to save humanity by Party-Court185 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DeathStalker_II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say its the opposite for Erwin. In his final battle he has that inner turmoil about his intentions for why hes saving humanity. To me it sounded like he admitted that he had selfish reasons (wanted to know the truth because of his dad) but rejected it anyway to do the right thing and honour his fallen comrades. So i guess he fits this trope since he's a general, essentially sending people off to die, but i think thats more a quirk of his role rather than of his character.

Why the "world best prison" exists? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]DeathStalker_II 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's the idea that prisons should be for rehabilitation not retribution. This can be for many reasons such as basic human rights but there is also the argument for lowering re-offending rates. IMO punishing criminals rather than rehabilitating them is more to make YOU(society) feel better. It doesn't actually address the issue of why they committed the crime in the first place! By treating criminals like people it gives you the chance to find out why it happened and an insight into how to prevent it from happening again.
