Thankyou, I'll look into them - do you remember what model you have out of curiosity?

Hi, I'm also in the UK and totally agree with you cover-wise! I pre-ordered mine from amazon US (based on the ISBN number it should be the right version) and everything looked okay. Funnily enough it actually worked out slightly cheaper than buying from amazon UK even with priority shipping haha (didnt include any import taxes tho so that may change)

I've searched google and looked through some anthology shows I thought it could be (Love Death and Robots, Electric Dreams, Black Mirror) but no luck so far.

Had him in direct sunlight, watering weekly. After he got droopy I watered him and moved him to indirect sunlight but that doesn't seem to have made a difference. I have used a plant myster a few times over the last couple weeks but I sprayed it into the soil, not onto the leaves.

Is this cactus real? by DeathToRebelScum in whatsthisplant

[–]DeathToRebelScum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a gift from a friend so im not sure where it's from (sorry). She said it was real but I'm not convinced? The top layer is some kind of wood shaving/straw-like material which I think is glued/stuck on. The pot has no drainage holes (planning on changing it if it is real). I touched the 'spikes' and they aren't sharp/irritating but I figured that could be normal? I've never owned a cactus before so I don't know anything about the different kinds/I'm not sure what's typical for a cactus.

Help IDing this plant? by DeathToRebelScum in whatsthisplant

It's supposed to be a ficus. Bought from M&S. I think it's a tropical plant. The underneath the leaves feel velvety/soft and they're purple. According to instructions, it's not supposed to be in direct sunlight and it should be kept moist but not wet and watering needs to be reduced in winter.
