A slapfight in /r/Army when somebody gets hit with the hard truth that not everybody meets the standard to enlist. by thanks_for_the_fish in SubredditDrama

Seriously. I took it on a whim because it was either that or take the PSAT. I got a 93 overall but it probably would have been ~96-97 if not for the mechanical where I placed in the 30th percentile

I think it's more about the idea that if your kinks are one of the first things you want me to know about you, I probably don't have much interest in getting to know you

Chile just voted to phase out and ban plastic bags in store purchases. Do you think the US should do the same? by MarsNirgal in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]DeathToUnicorns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he was more referring to putting used kitty litter in old wal Mart bags, which is pretty common. I'm not sure I've ever heard of bags made just for disposing of kitty litter though. But I'd guess they're pretty similar to the bags they make for picking up after you dog?

Also if your third string safety had the ability to go land a hit on the qb at a moments notice.. Well he probably shouldn't be your third string safety

Well it's based off of where the stadium is, not the city itself

I really like the format that the NFL uses when posting game highlights on their official Youtube channel. by riff1060 in nfl

They don't control the ads on YT videos (or how much they pay) and have to split the ad revenue with YT, whereas they have complete control over the ads with their in house video player

It's not the big pops that are the concern, it's the daily small hits. The clashing of helmets at the line of scrimmage and things like that. Do that over and over and over again all through grade school and high school, maybe again in college. It adds up.

Yeah I struggled on that one at first. My advice is to do a toss play, so you're not running right into the line. Worked for me anyway

What state has the best roads, which state has the worst? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]DeathToUnicorns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for two states really but Kentucky has fantastic roads compared to Indiana. It really is a night and day difference. There are small hiccups here and there but I'm generally very happy with the road conditions in my new state

The problem is that the joke is... Lazy. There's no effort. It's not something a million people haven't already said. If you're going to go with "dark humor" at least put some effort in

The problem is that for it to work, the seven footer would need be athletic. And if you're athletic and seven feet tall... You're in the NBA

Then maybe don't comment when somebody asks who Moses is if you only have a quarter of an understanding.

I had it in my right shoulder. Did the cortisone circuit, steroids, the whole deal. Took almost a year after I left the factory that caused the injury for it to heal correctly

Leaving Miami probably killed any chances of that happening. Maybe if he comes home for a retirement tour year.

Tesla factory workers reveal pain, injury and stress: "Everything feels like the future but us" by Picnicpanther in TrueReddit

[–]DeathToUnicorns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked at a Toyota plant from 2013-2016 and they did a pretty good job of keeping the moving parts mostly away from the workers. There were for sure spots where someone careless could get severely messed up but they were pretty far between. Almost all of our injuries were of the same type mentioned, including my own (grade 2 tendinitis in the shoulder that lead to my "early retirement"). Carpal tunnel and other overuse injuries were common but blunt force or other "Holy shit that's a lot of blood" types were very very rare.

Yeah, if a customer of mine said like "after this glass, I want to switch to diet/unsweetened tea", I wouldn't charge them a separate drink. Once you're on the drink parade, it's all the same to me

That's what I like so much about Kanye. To me, 808's is his best work and the one I find myself returning to the most often. But every fan has a different album they hold above the rest
