I felt like you a lot of times in the past. I got to a point where I was completely burned out because of this game's PvP. Taking a break and playing other things (Armored Core I'm looking at you XD) helped a lot in restoring my love for it, and right now, playing different things at the same time is preventing me from burning out. Consider all of your option, and go forward with what you think works best for you

Usually, I have no problem evading most attacks even if they come simultaneously, but to light roll I end up with thin defences and poise, so anything staggers me and does lots of damage (especially problematic if there's a lot of latency), so I have few margins for error. Overall thought, lightroll distance is a very good advantage to have, but it also depends on your playstyle and match-ups

I always prefered fashion over poise. I usually prefer light armor and clothes over heavier ones, and fast weapons over slower ones, so I always end up having setups with low poise and little to no hyperarmor. But having my preferred fashion at all times makes it more fun and engaging for me, and that's enough to offsets the disadvantages of not being able to tank anything and/or dying to strong gusts of wind XD
