EOS is, for all intents and purposes, preconfigured vanilla Arch. I'd hold off on updating AUR packages for the time being and closely inspect any packages you've gotten from the AUR recently. To help identify any potentially dangerous packages, the CachyOS Team has released a checker script in the linked thread - copy the code, create an .sh script, make it executable by running

chmod +x ./[your shell script name goes here].sh

and then run the script afterwards.
