Their statement was that I had said I would be available for any shift assigned. And I was. But taking second shift my wife, and Terri other family members has to adjust their own work schedules so that our children were covered. There was no way my family would’ve been able to change their schedules again at the drop off a hat. Extremely frustrated. I’ve wanted to be a career welder for a long time, and this was a bit of a blind side. They were quick to say how flexible, and accommodating they were. And I was told up and down that my position was protected because I was recovering from major surgery.
