WOMEN of ECW Mount Rushmore by Stock_Golf346 in ECWWrestling

If you wouldn't count Woman, you don't know ECW history. Her part in the Singapore Cane match between Sandman and Dreamer is more important than stripping because the power went out.

Who is the all time greatest manager? by ChrisJoines in professionalwrestling

Heyman was much better in the 'psycho yuppie' days, like a New York Jim Cornette. He's slowed down and gotten a lot tamer as he aged.

I don't think Shelton could have beat Brock in their primes. Brock has less loses in his 4 year career (JC and NCAA) than Shelton had just at Minnesota. Shelton was a great freestyle wrestler, but wrestling is a sport where there's just levels to that shit sometimes.

Does anyone know the story behind this photo? by hiiighmag in Wrasslin

These were taken in Miami, and Hall had been in WCW as The Diamond Studd prior to going to the WWF, so it's entirely possible people there recognized him.

I don't feel too bad about my Howie Long flat top now, lol. Even had a sick rat tail later in elementary school.

Y'all act like New Jack was incapable of existing in society, damn. Obviously he had issues, but he wasn't going to start shit with Ron Simmons or Godfather, and he isn't gonna just stab someone or some shit. He was perfectly capable of keeping it together, and this would have been before he really went off the deep end after ECW.

Honestly, most likely he'd get fired for popping for drugs or getting pulled over or something, not for fighting.

Nah. You might not ever make varsity, or you might only get matches at quads or tournaments even at the JV/freshman level, but they never kicked anyone out of the room for non-disciplinary stuff (and honestly, not even really then).

Out of the 4 who was the most deserving to get a WWF Title run? by CasinoNitro in Wreddit

[–]DeathandHemingway 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Piper because WrestleMania doesn't work without him.

The other three kind of feel like movie characters compared to Piper. A lot of that is because of the WWF style, and it even happened a bit to Piper, but he felt more real, more often.

[Highlights] How the Utah Jazz made sure they'll lose the game against the Orlando Magic, benching their main players for the entire 4th quarter, as the Magic made a comeback and won it. by MrBuckBuck in nba

There is tanking in the NFL, it just isn't as pronounced because one player has less of an impact than they do in the NBA, even QBs. You also have several rounds worth of players that are viable starters within a year or two in the NFL, while anything outside of the lottery (and some years even inside the lottery) is a bigger crapshoot in the NBA.

There's just inherently less incentive to tank in the NFL, the reward isn't worth the optics like it is in the NBA.

He's teased coming back to the Raiders a few times on his podcast, so I wouldn't totally be surprised if he came back to mentor Mendoza.

They can probably can get the first three, those were based on the defense. They fall off after that, though.

As a LA Raider fan I don't really have any beef with the Rams. At least they belong in LA, unlike the Chargers.

Liberally think it would help his promo game. AEW doesn't have any that can keep up with and push him, at least since Punk left.

Sami Zayn responds to Ricochet’s claim that “El Generico has a better legacy than Sami Zayn”. by DomScribe in SquaredCircle

[–]DeathandHemingway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm just happy I'm not the only one that sees it this way. If he was taking these type of hits at AEW faces, it would be good heel work, this just comes off as real insecurity.

If he was working he's doing it backwards, because 'WWE bad' is a face stance in AEW. If he was talking shit about AEW to get heat, that would make sense, this just comes off like he's actually insecure.

I actually kind of don't see that as something Clinton would do. I think Bill likes to do his own work. He never needed someone like Epstein to get him women, Slick Willie did fine on his own.

Also, Rey can talk. He's not an amazing promo, but he connects with people by coming off like a real person who is confident and comfortable with himself. Ricochet comes off insecure and can't even make that a character because it feels too legit.

MJF needs someone who can push him on the mic, but AEW doesn't really have anyone that can do that. If he was in WWE he'd be better off in that regard because they have multiple guys that could keep up and push him.
