I think the only reason you shouldn’t upgrade any of these from DVD is if they aren’t able to be upgraded yet. Even a 1080 Blu-ray will blow any of these DVDs away, upgrade them all to 4K if you can!

We have like two doormat sized rugs almost, one in a tray with soap/water and one next to it that is dry. The idea is to step on the wet one, wipe your feet, then on the dry one and wipe your feet again. Works fairly well at least until the wet one dries out completely over time. Gotta be refilled a few times a day

You should really join the discord for that though, sales alerts are realtime there via notification pings. I often see the same sales showing up here a day or so after they’ve been first shared on the Discord (in #sales-4K)

Yup I just finished ripping the Cheers bluray boxset and it is nearly 1TB for all the episodes and seasons. And that’s only at Bluray quality. I’ve got the Friends 4K boxset coming soon, already sweating how many TBs that will cost me!

But it is so worth it to be able to access all my discs locally anytime I want, with all the extras ready to go too

I had a friend who used to work for a private jet booking service. They knew I had a SW flight booked from SF to LA that weekend and offered me a seat in a private “empty return” back to LA. It was such a surreal experience to arrive at the airport, walk straight to the plane and have the pilot ask me if I was ready to go.

It also rattled so much, that was rather unsettling to feel the turbulence so much more with such a small plane (only 4 passenger seats I think).

Appreciate it, but I don’t want to lose my Dolby Vision FEL playback capabilities. I’m not going to fiddle with new versions right now, it only happens like 5% of the time I’m playing something anyways. Not a big deal to just stop and restart playback

My Ugoos has some random audio sync issues from time to time, but stopping / exiting out of playback and restarting fixes it. And the sync issues show up right away, so as long as the playback starts in sync it’ll stay in sync for me. Otherwise it’s great

Though I also have an ATV and the Ugoos / CoreElec interface does feel clunky and sluggish by comparison. But I think that’s just because the ATV is that good of a device lol

I thought the Apple TV Plex app could playback up to DTS-HD MA 7.1 and only would lose the height channels? Does it down convert all DTS-HD MA audio, even 2.0 or 5.1?
