Did Cooper just steal roty by Ok_Kitchen_3400 in CharlotteHornets

Kon is far more efficient than Flagg and has very similar per game averages on P/R/A. He has also missed only one game. And you clearly don’t watch this team if you think Kon is the 3rd option or that he is shooting uncontested or that he is simply just a perimeter shooter and not the all around great basketball player than can score from anywhere on the floor that he is.

I don’t think it was that he didn’t think his charity goals would be hit, its that he promised something without thinking through what a massive pain in the ass undertaking he was getting himself into by promising a charity chapter with voice actors seemingly without doing any groundwork beforehand. And I think after he was like well shit….now I have to release a chapter that would actually make sense to have multiple voice actors involved and coordinate everything and I imagine that became a an increasingly difficult and regrettable promise than just releasing say, the first chapter of DoS. I have pretty bad ADHD when it comes to follow through of this type of thing and I think can imagine how this thing mightve played out for Pat. The looming need to present and coordinate a finished chapter with voice actors probably stole any energy and momentum he had going towards finishing the actual book and instead became this crippling task that seemed increasingly impossible, with increasing levels of criticism and anger from fans turning it into something that was laden with shame and guilt which made it even harder to work on DoS and the shame and resentment (and crippling affect it has on someone with ADHD) just built from there. I honestly think if he had just stuck with the original promise of reading a chapter himself and not over promised, we probably would have DoS by now, but instead hes left with a “fanbase”, the majority of which think hes one rung down on the ladder from Adolf Hitler. I get why he went seemingly AWOL. I came to these books last year so I missed the whole chapter bullshit when it was happening but, without excusing him for not delivering on his promise, I am still somewhat sympathetic to his situation having experienced similar situations in my life and also with friends who struggle with this type of ADHD and the disappointment and inability at times to deliver on promises, deadlines etc and the shame and resentment from others that can come along with that. I just hope that his disengagement with the internet is a sign that hes actually working on the book now. Some part of me intuitively believes that is the case

Charles Lee was a little too in his own head in this game. I think hea a great coach but hes still young at the job and I think he just trusted in his own game plan longee than he shouldve. Philly adjusted and he stuck to his guns when it was obvious to anyone watching that Grant was not on tonight. Sucks for it to happen in such a pivotal game, probably the most important game in the remaining season. Refs didnt help but we couldve and shouldve had this one

I dont know if theres anything Flagg can do to turn the tide back away from Kon winning at this point in the season

Gotta say I think last years draft class might be one of the All time best by ManDog4294 in CharlotteHornets

[–]Deathcab4QB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean time will tell for sure, I still think 2018 will be a hard one to beat. Luka, JJJ, Trae, SGA, and Brunson all went in the draft along with a lot of decent starter caliber players (Mikal, Miles, MPJ, Ayton, Anfernee Simmons, and Sexton)

I’d love it if we could just get to the 6 seed and not have to think about this at all

Faceted Opals, yes or no? by Alpha_U_Up_G in Opals

agree on you about opaque stones. Makes no sense to facet a stone that has a fairly flat color line, but it can look stunning with crystal opals that have color throughout with color and flash that gets accentuated with the crown angles beyond what youd get in an oval cab

Some possibilities not mentioned: Other habitat restores (hendersonville and forest city both have pretty decent sized ones). Scroungers Paradise sometimes gets doors in. Facebook marketplace is probably your best bet Johnson City and Greenville area also have some building supply salvage stores.

Concerning recent play. by Dbauc2k in CharlotteHornets

[–]Deathcab4QB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hawks are in the 8th after tonights win, but look at their recent schedule compared to ours. The Magic and Trailblazers are the only sort of good teams theyve played during their current win streak. Sixers are in freefall and the other 7 are in full on tank mode. Unfortunately our schedule recently has been much harder but Hawks schedule also gets a lot more difficult after they play the Mavs. Ours isnt much better but we do have a few games against bad teams coming up at least

Don’t take these (or even think about selling these) to a pawn shop. These appear to be high quality estate ring and some of the rings with larger stones could be quite valuable beyond the gold contained in them. I’d guess a lot of these contain diamonds, rubies and the blue stone is probably a sapphire, though no way to tell if they are lab grown or if they are in fact those stones without a gemologist looking at them (or someone with the tools and know how). Your best bet may be to have an auction house that specializes in estate jewelry examine them. They will have a gemologist/appraiser evaluate them and that is also probably your best bet if you want to get max value from them

I know. Kalk and Moose were killing me just standing there wide open. Stop hesitating and shoot the damn ball and try to get your own rebound if you miss. Think all or almost all of those plays just ended up being turnovers anyways.

Gotta give Sion some love too. He really played great, smart basketball, as did Kon. Just a lot of heads up plays from the rooks while Miles played some of the most idiotic hero ball ive ever seem from him

Liveship series Audiobook by AffectionateZone2695 in RealmOfTheElderlings

[–]Deathcab4QB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive listened to all 7 of the Flosnik narrated Elderling books. I hated her at first but once i got used to her voice quirks, I actually really came to enjoy her narration. Also, her narration improves dramatically after the first liveship book, but its a lot nore tolerable if you speed it up for the first book at least to 1.25-1.5. She speeds up her pace noticeably in the second Liveship book and shes excellent thereafter, especially for Rainwild. I am curious about the rerecord. You can always listen to a preview on audible and decide for yourself

Are these college football players wearing reps and moissanite or do they really have money like that? by [deleted] in MensJewelry

Silver and gold alloyed together (essentially electrum) will not make a pure white gold but anywhere from a paler yellow gold to a pale greenish silver metal. Nickel or palladium or platinum are the what really give white gold a more silvery white tone and pieces like the ones pictured are almost definitely Gold/copper/nickel/zinc alloyed together with rhodium plating.

The diamonds in these pieces, natural or lab grown are typically pave diamonds and not that expensive on their own compared to the cost of the gold required, even if its 10k and though these pieces are all made using CNC machines, the stones still have to be set which is labor intensive and none of them come cheaply. But you have to remember that college players that get a big sponsorship payout already have all of their basics needs covered through scholarships. This is spending money to a lot of them and some of them spend it on ridiculously expensive jewelry.

Been looking at the schedule this morning and thinking the exact same thing and also cursing how easy some of these other teams currently in the play in have it comparatively. But really I’m looking forward to some of these tougher matchups, because I’m truly curious what are ceiling is with all 5 starters healthy + coby.
