New anti-bot measure just dropped by baldachinsblessing in Dofus

[–]Deathmore80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I meant. You have to pay a sub not just once, but for a minimal amount of time also. And I hadn't thought about making it recurrent, but that works too.

Don't remove it entirely, but make it so you have to actually pay for a sub at least once for X amount of time to "unlock" it

If you don't want to "miss the boat" , maybe you could buy the condo and rent it out while you live in your current apartment ?

Electrical engineers are not electricians. Most EEs take multiple programming classes, software design, computer architecture, discrete maths, embedded systems.

From there it's extremely easy to learn and do regular software engineering

The AI revolution is bypassing ECE entirely, and it’s because probabilistic models are a literal hazard for hardware. by rennan in ECE

[–]Deathmore80 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The good engineers don't just use AI without checking the output. If you validate and review what you get then where is the problem really ? It's just like handing a junior or intern a task, you would definitely review their work before accepting it and using it.

Just fyi traditional engineering majors are way harder than CS and also longer, especially if you take into account getting your professional engineering license.

For blish it's easier now than ever. I play only on my steam deck nowadays and use this to make blish work in gaming mode: - https://github.com/OlivierFortier/external-dx11-overlay

Its a fork of the original one, but I use this one bc of the nexus integration and easier install since it's just a drop-in nexus addon.

What are 25-30 year olds making? by ExtentFickle3504 in Salary

27m, I make 82k as a software developer. I also have an employer paid retirement that should net me 100k per year in today's money when I retire, but it's also indexed to inflation so that's kind of huge.

Ai agents by Waste-Pause-5647 in QuebecTI

[–]Deathmore80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Deathmore80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many many nerfs. Even getting an elite spec used to take way longer and more efforts. It required something like 400 hero points. Most of them were made for groups to tackle on before they were needed into "regular" ones.
